It really depends on the VPN provider. To your second question, it also depends on your VPN provider, however most providers allow for just certain devices, for example I can use my VPN on a phone, pc, android tv etc, however I can't use it on my Nintendo Switch (Nintendo hates piracy that much).
You should at least use a free VPN if you do not want to pay, just incase if you know what I meanI don't know what's good. I don't mind shelling out a few bucks. my usenet is about $4 a month as I got astraweb on a sale for that much for life. it's normally $8 a month.
Well, let me tell you a story. If you do homebrew your IP address is exposed. When the first explot for the PS3 came out, the court allowed Sony to see the IP address of all the ones who watched that video, meaning unless they used a VPN they could get fined or at least tracked to make sure they don't do iti also don't pirate nearly as much as i used to, so they're totally useless to me to begin with
Well, if you use android on the switch you can technically launch a VPN that way. Xbox does it, why can't Nintendo?I have an nvidia shield like I think you said you had and it worked, as well as several systems and pcs. it sucks that it doesn't work with the switch. I don't pirate on the system, but I'm trying to protect my security, not yours, Nintendo.
Actually, there is a provider called PureVPN that supports all devices, including switch. Since it injects software into your router. VPNs like allow switch supportI'm completely legit on the switch, but I would like to protect everything.
FREE FOR ME.
$$$ NordVPN is prettymuch top-tier, and a bit overkill for most average users.maybe you should do a poll on best vpns or a thread about it. that's what I'd like.

$$ Private Internet Access is a good middle ground.
$ ExpressVPN is a good cheap solution with still enough benefits over a free VPN to make the purchase worth-while.
In case you were unawarethe more i see youtubers shilling out vpns like nordvpn and expressvpn the less inclined i am to actually use one
it's one of those things, the more you pester me to do something, the less i want to do that thing
I torrented some Final Fantasy 8 ISOs, and got a letter in the mail two days later from my ISP that SquareEnix complained. Bunch of butt-hurt little bitches at Squeenix... It's not like they haven't been milking the half-assed ports of FF8 TO DEATH, and I own the physical discs. I just want to dig them out, rip them, convert formats, etc...Yes! It's more a "keep my ISP off my back", then it is a "security" thing for me. Was warned once already, and got a VPN next day.
Yeah, that's not bad. You download their VPN client, and install it. Then you sign into it, and pick a server that's close to you. That's pretty-much it.I'm on nord for $89/2 years. is that a good deal? how do I activate the vpn after I purchase it?
Same with me, I torrented something, can't remember now what it was, a movie I think, but got a letter from AT&T warning me....I torrented some Final Fantasy 8 ISOs, and got a letter in the mail two days later from my ISP that SquareEnix complained.
