Thank you very much:) how it's going with getting mission control to support Xbox One S controll?
Nothing has changed. All my spare time this week has been spent dealing with the firmware updates. This is not something trivial that can be added in just a few days. There are many problems that need to be solved before it's release-ready. It will be done when it's done.

Does 0.4.1 work on Atmosphere 0.16.2? Just thinking if I want to update my Atmosphere install (currently using 0.15.0). Thanks.

It should do, I updated last night and didn't see any problem. Worst case let me know if you encounter any issues and I'll rebuild it with the updated Atmosphere libraries.

SciresM pointed out to me earlier that the dependency on Atmosphere version is actually artificial, due to me calling a version check function that was intended for internal use. As of the next MissionControl release you generally shouldn't have to concern yourself about whether it will work with future Atmosphere releases or not.

@ndeadly Stadia controller is off the table, right? I'm not sure how the LE BT on this thing works but, afaik, inputs can only be transfered through wifi.

I got it from the CP2077 deal and I think it's pretty much useless on any platform, aside wired on Steam, lol.

For the time being, yeah. As I understand, there were plans to make it work as an HID controller over Bluetooth via a future firmware update but the feature hasn't been released yet (to my knowledge). The other problem is that I don't have the BLE side of things working yet. Once those two problems have been resolved it should be possible to get it working.

Amazing. Looking forward to this.

Hi there!

I signed up specifically to comment in your thread;

I wanted to thank you for all that you're doing regarding this project. It's saved me a massive headache in terms of getting a separate "Pro Controller" when I already had other controllers lying around. So, I really do appreciate that this project exists!

Also, and I know you likely get questions like this all the time, so apologies if this is irritating, but I was wondering if there was a rough ETA on when rumble will be implemented?

At the moment I'm using my Xbox One controller with my games, and really, the only feature I feel myself missing is rumble. At least for the types of games I switch to the controller for.

I did notice that it was at the top of the list, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks again for all that you've done so far, and thanks for keeping the project up-to-date!

Please refrain from asking "eta wen" type questions in the future. I can't give any meaningful ETA on these things. As stated in the readme, the priority ordering is only rough. I would think of it more as "the likelihood a feature will be included eventually".

Since your post was well intentioned, I will tell you that I have rumble working for several of the major console controllers that I own and where the rumble packet format has been documented. The main reason it hasn't been released yet is that I'm not happy with it. Due to the different technology used in the switch controllers to achieve HD rumble effects, it's impossible to get a 1:1 replication on most other controllers. Currently things just feel off. Some patterns are disproportionately strong, others barely felt. I've accepted that it will never be perfect, but I think it can be improved. Unfortunately testing and tweaking this is kind of slow and tedious. To be quite honest I've been kind of procrastinating on finishing it due to having other much more interesting problems to work on.

Definitely no disrespect or contribution to the banal intended. I probably could have phrased that better, I had read the priority ordering note.

As someone that's been modding, mapping and working on various online projects since the 90s, I totally understand more than most the type of comments you likely regularly receive when working on a project like this. It's why I felt obliged to preface it so much.

I did make the effort to search through the Github, Google and this thread to a degree first, but couldn't find any discussion about that particular feature.

Anyways, that out of the way, I'm definitely onboard for waiting for as long as you need to take for literally any feature you feel like implementing, whenever they may or may not happen.

I suppose I more wanted to pick your brain than to seem entitled or to poke for something.

Sorry for the ramble! I appreciate the info you shared! Thank you for doing this in your spare time.

No problem, it's obvious to me that you actually put some time and thought into your question. Just don't want to give the obnoxious types the idea that bugging me for ETAs is acceptable.

So I have an off-brand TaTa con for Taiko that I got second hand, I can't for the life of me tell you who manufactured it but it looks like exactly this one: https://www.amazon.com/Tatsujin-Drumsticks-Console-Remote-Controller/dp/B07WY3TXKD

My wiimote works perfectly with mission control, as does my pro-controller. My tata con does not. Is it because it's off-brand? I've tried it with Rhythmic Adventure which just came out in english this month and I get no response. I was testing it with a wiimote with low batteries, would that make a difference? Or is it just not compatible yet? Would there be a way to fix that? Thanks.

I wouldn't expect off-brand extension controllers to be a problem since it's the wiimote that actually makes the Bluetooth connection. Can you confirm the controller is working properly on another device and it's not just something like dirty contacts on the connector?

If all is good then it must be something to do with either the ID the controller is identifying itself with or the format of the data it's sending. I wouldn't expect them to be different from an authentic controller, but who knows. You could also fire up the controller tester and see whether any button presses are registered when you hit the drum.

If you don't have any luck with these suggestions, open an issue on the GitHub page and I'll help you debug the issue. I can't think of any reason it shouldn't be possible for this controller to be supported.
