whats hard about using the search feature, as for codes not working, everything posted here is stolen and posted over there..... against the creators wishes.

I have used the search function. what makes you think I haven't. It is the most un-user friendly search I've encountered. One problem is the first search you can use searches the entire site. Useless if you want to look in a specific "child" thread. The second problem is if you go the next level of search you can search the specific thread you are in but posts are not ordered from latest to oldest. Also, the results show little context on the actual posts. Its great to search for a cheat to find multitudes of posts asking for cheats instead of the actual cheats. It is not until 4 clicks deep do you actually get to a proper search that can only be narrowed to the general thread you want and sorted the way you want. You can't even do a proper search of a "child" thread with the search. Such glaring flaws with the search.

I didn't even know tinfoil has cheats on their site so while cheatslips aren't the only ones to provide a site with ease of use they aren't the only ones who make money off it either. Tinfoil makes money too.

You are incorrect, not only is everything on tinfoil.io is free, most of its data is open source: https://github.com/blawar/titledb

You will not find a donation link, or any subscription's on tinfoil.io because it is 100% free.

Does @patjenova and @ZiT have an issue with tinfoil having the codes posted there. If not then I would make that my go to for cheat searching instead of cheatslips.

If you were in their discord you would know they have taken donations. I am not sure if you can still donate if you want to but they have in the past. If you can't donate any more who is to say it won't come back later.

I do not know how to politely tell you that you are wrong, that is my discord server and I have never solicited nor accepted donations from the scene. Please do not spread fake news. You might be confusing HBG with Tinfoil which are two very different things.

Because it is more obnoxious than having a properly indexed and curated option, especially when it comes to different versions. I don't think it needs to be explained why folks would gravitate towards an option that is an objectively better experience. That said, the attribution issue needs to be solved. If you're gonna curate, you need to own the responsibility that comes with it, which means moderating proper attribution when contested - especially for more prolific cheat hunters.

As an aside, for folks talking about "copyright" - don't. Legally speaking, you could construct a method of encryption and application (a process), but the codes themselves? You cannot copyright them under US law, especially as the codes themselves do not constitute circumvention, even if they're only available on circumvented devices.

Then I am not sure what to make of this from the jits server im in. I clearly see "donation" multiple times.
View attachment 232469
You...you do know that JITS isn't Tinfoil, right? The only relation is that JITS is a source you can use within Tinfoil. Those donations are going toward the source, not the application provider. The best thing you can do right now, especially as you've already voiced your concern on this particular topic, is sit back and learn more about this scene before speaking further.

I will not publish the cheat code in the future.
I've hacked more games than people, so I was taking away the minutes that others were hacking.
This is a very good opportunity.

I'll keep doing Hacking and uploading the results to YouTube.
If you want to disclose the code in it, please PM me at
The purpose of publishing is to improve Hacker's skills.
But we won't publish anything to anyone who uses the code.

I will continue to participate here, except for code releases, so please keep up the good work.

Couldn't @Iliak make the Credit field a required field? So you can't upload cheats unless you credit the cheat maker? Just a thought.

I don't want an encrypted cheat format to be honest. I'm thinking in the longrun it's better with clear code when the Switch becomes obsolete.

Yes, it may be a solution, not the best, but it's a lead.

But how to deal with the case where, in good faith, the person submitting the code does not know the author/origin ?

Yes, keep in mind that the CFW needs to understand the cheat code. You can find more details here.

Don't let them submit it if so. Simple as that.
I know that. That's why I say that I don't think having encrypted cheats is a good idea in the long run either.

Another option could be that cheats that are submitted must go through an approval system before being allowed on your site? I can see where it becomes difficult if you do not know the author/origin. Just trying to help and throw some other options out there.

You found the problem...

Who says moderation/approval, says authority. This therefore implies that www.cheatslips.com is recognized as an authority. In case of conflict, who has the last word ?

Currently, there is only controls over the format of the code that is submitted.

Ask some of the cheat makers here if they are willing to help? I mean it's not a bad idea to have a moderation team over all, incase a dispuit like what have happened arises again.

One lead is cheat coder to register on the website and post their work themself, so a lot of troubles can be solved this way.

We can even imagine displaying a page dedicated to each cheat maker and displaying informations, such as a link to a patreon, a link to make a donation, a link to the contact ...

Anyway, post away! Especially you cheat coders, I want to hear your thoughts so YOU are happy.
I'm waiting for your feedback...

you always seem to be finding means of avoiding what YOUR been told.

it is 99.9% clear who the author of the code is, unless your users are stealing off other sites and they cant read its language.

Ive emailed you before about people stealing codes and to remove them, yet you didnt.

your still allowing users to post codes, again, told you of this, and still your keeping them on.

its got to the point now, after ignoring, users are not wanting to share them on here anymore.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.

Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

    To me that seems reasonable.

I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
