Hi Been away for quite some time , but if i want to upgrade the switch , running 10.0.4 with ams 0.13.0

Is there any bulletproof guide of how to update both switch fw and atmosphere fw ?

If you don't mind making it dirty, you can use either Daybreak or ChoiDujourNX to update the firmware offline. If you want to try and keep it clean, you can boot into Stock mode via Hekate then update online. If you use this method and want to avoid burning additional fuses, I recommend downloading the update in Stock mode then installing it in CFW to prevent AutoRCM from being removed thus preserving the fuses.

I'll try updating using the Stock mode. I don't really care about the fuses at this point, as long as I can update the firmware. Thanks for the help!

I have one additional question regarding the backup I have. The earliest backup I've done doesn't contain the User partition. The backup only contains SAFE and SYSTEM files. Are these files enough to do a restore? I do have a full backup from a later date, but I suspect that backup is not completely clean, meaning it's been taken after cfw installation.

1. How can i delete patches on my switch?

2. What is NUT and JITS?

1) Patches as in sigpatches going off the context. You need the correct sigpatches for the bootloader you are using.

2) Nut is a pc program to transfer and install games, JITS is a shop similar to freeshop that using tinfoil

Yes, you only need the SYSTEM files. USER only contains your save and game data so if you restore only SYSTEM, you will lose all of your current save data and installed content.

I think there is a misunderstanding.

My originally question was
I have 12 corrupted "Games" on the nintendo switch main menu. I cant start them and i also cant delete them. There is nothing shown in Manage Software -> Delete Software.
3. Any advise to get rid of it?

  1. Do you have the patches?

I thought, you wanna say i should uninstall the patches but i dont know how.

I still dont know how to delete these blank apps shown in the main menu next to the installed nsp's.

I've decided to make the jump and exploit my switch. What would be my starting point? Thanks! Also, I read that you can switch firmware from custom to regular to avoid getting the banhammer if you head online. Is that true?

I recently got SX-core installed on my V1 patched switch. SXOS was booted without making a backup. I've kept the switch offline since then. Can anyone guide me to make a backup of the switch and install atmosphere on it.

You should close your Switch, after that open it while holding "+". This should get you to boot menu. Press options, and then NAND section. Lasty click on dump NAND.

For atmosphere on SX CORE follow this guide.

If you haven't don't forget to create an EmuNAND too. Do that from sx boot menu, options, EmuNAND and Create EmuNAND.

You will need to first find out if your console is patched or not as this will determine what are your options for hacking it. This can be estimated with the time you bought the console or the serial number but since you already have it, you can definitively test if it is patched or not. To do so, you will have to perform the fusee gelee exploit and if it succeeds, your console is not patched. This guide will walk you through what I just said and repeat that information.

However switching between OFW and CFW is not enough to avoid a ban as CFW leaves traces in the console that Nintendo can detect. The only ways to avoid a ban is to either not hack or never go online after using CFW or homebrew. Refer any other banning questions to this thread.

Follow this guide. You should also be able to find some details about how to be online stuff in the FaQ section in this guide.

Hi,
I am a N00B to this. I have a first gen switch with SX Pro (and obviously SX OS). I am using this to load cheats for my offline games (not interested in downloading pirated games, etc.). To update the cheats, I am using the aio-cheats-updater (HamletduFromage). As there are now issues with Team-Xecuter, I am looking for a way to use cheats for my games without SX OS. If I can use the SX Pro dongle to boot, that would be great (I think it's the simplest way according to various forums). Can someone walk me through this please ? I can't afford to grind in games anymore. As an ex-action replay user, Thank you.

my bad, I skimmed the original post, were these on sysnand or emunand, but either way the titles should still show up in the system management

Hello,
I'm running into a bit of a snare here and I'm wondering if anyone can help. I've got a emuNAND partition successfully booting with Hekate (v5.3.3) + AMS (v0.14.4) running on firmware v10.2.0 with the fuse-secondary payload. I've got the latest sigpatches meant for this build (Hekate+AMD+fss0), but I can't for the life of me get Goldleaf to install any NSPs, I've tried a few. Anyone else having this issue?

Why do you inject the fusee-secondary payload? Just inject the hekate payload. This should do the trick.
Sorry if my post didn't make much sense but no I'm injecting Hekate. From my understanding Hekate uses fuse-secondary to boot AMS when using emuNAND, right?
