xflak.com/modmii is down... I'm not sure exactly why, @DeadlyFoez was running this server and I haven't been able to get a hold of him since I noticed the site was down yesterday.
In any case, I've changed the modmii site... again! Hopefully for the last time, to this URL http://expresstek.org/xflak/modmii/
This is a hosting location shared with me many years ago by my good friend @JoostinOnline, and until now I've not taken full advantage of it. Point being, this site has been up and running and pretty stable for many years, and I'm hopeful that it stands the test of time much longer than any of ModMii's previous sites
First post and my signature have been updated accordingly
So, https://xflak.com/modmii is back up and running, and I resolved the issue with false Google warnings that the site might be unsafe.
I think I will leave both sites up (xflak.com and http://expresstek.org/xflak/modmii), one as a primary and one as a backup. Tonight @DeadlyFoez and I will chat to decide which will be which.
Check out hyperspin for your pc.. I built a 4tb arcade system that had great cover flow for all consoles (over 30) and ran great off a thrift store cpu.Like XFlak said, those wad are not crucial though would make you softmod more "complete", maybe post the latest syscheck report here to ensure your other wads are installed properly?
What are the error messages? Which wad manager are you using? Wii remote with or without motion plus? It would be nice to find out the actual causes.
Unfortunately, I am not a fan of emulators on consoles. I play with emus on my PC and my 24" full HD monitor. I can link up my PC to my HDTV if I really wanted to. My only complaint is: there is no decent free cover flow apps for the PC but the windows explorer does the job with its fast response and file associations.

Arcade punks is a good place to check out

Yes it still works. If your wii is already hacked, u can proceed as if it wasn't, and it will overwrite any outdated mods. Alternatively, you can use modmii's syscheck updater wizard to only update what's missing or outdated on your specific console
Right on. Hyperspin is a pretty popular project it's been around for awhile and was the inspiration around rocky5 emustation dashboard for the ogxboxThanks
but I am very cautious about creating an account just to download 500MB of unknown (to me) app.
I developed my own way shortly after the above post:
1. Associate my roms with the corresponsing emulators of my choice (already did long long time ago)
2. Associate *.png with a 1-liner batch file: start "" "..\%~n1" (the roms are stored in the parent folder of the covers; but you can always add checks in the batch file to switch to different rom folders according to rom type if you store them in categorized folders)
3. start collecting covers and convert them to png with the same name as the roms (including extensions e.g .'Drol.dsk.png" for apple II game rom "Drol.dsk"
4. put the covers into folders/sub folders of my choices, change folder view to large icons and double-clicks away
simple, "easy" and I have 100% control myself. I am settled with this simplistic folder structure and workflow for now...
May be one day I will develop a fullblown coverflow batch system
