Hacking If I have a Wii U game installed to NAND can I have the DLC for the same game on an external hard dr

Yes you can though I just want to make sure that if you use CBHC I would not suggest installing titles on nand as if anything gets corrupted on nand thats a bricked system

Are you sure about the positive replies? Cause to my knowledge the game and the DLC need to be on the same storage medium. Others say the same, example: https://gbatemp.net/threads/updates-and-dlc-install-location.476611/

@pickinanameainteasy You could move the game from NAND to USB, then install the DLC to USB, too.

yes, I believe @V10lator is correct from what I remember. I'm pretty sure both have to be on the same storage medium.

So ive already played a couple of hours of BOTW. Say i finish the game and want to install the DLC, can i transfer the entire game plus my save files from NAND to USB and play the same file with DLC?

You need to move the update and the save file, too, if you move the game. All files have to be on the same storage medium.
Not sure about the save game compatibility.
