So, last night I was playing some Rocket League on my Switch when I noticed that the area behind the console where the processor is located was getting unusually hot (I hadn't used my Switch in a couple of weeks, and I don't remember it getting that hot). When I put my face close to the fan's outtake, I just feel hot air coming out slowly, instead of air actually flowing. I didn't pay much attention to it and just stopped playing. The next day (today), I decided to do some further "testing". So I booted up Smash Bros and got into a game. Same as before. The processor would get pretty hot (not as much as in Rocket League), and I wouldn't feel any real airflow coming out of the fan's outtake. This time, I also put my ear to it, and heard a faint buzzing noise coming from the fan.
My Switch warranty is gone because I already sent a JoyCon to get repaired a couple years ago (I have a launch day Switch, and was experiencing JoyCon drift problems), and even then, it's been three years, so I don't think the warranty has got me covered anymore. I'm thinking of replacing the fan myself, but after reading a bit online, I found it could also be caused by the actual fan connector on the motherboard. Is there any possible troubleshooting I can go through to see what's wrong?
By the way, I don't know if this will be helpful, but my Switch has accumulated about 500 hours of playtime.

EDIT: I haven't gotten any overheating warnings from the system, probably because I have only "tested" for about 30 minutes, but I'd rather not get to that point.
