I've had an....OKAY WEEK. My sleep schedule is very out of whack but it's okay. I've been eating hot pockets and pizza rolls for 90% of my diet but it's fine it's fine. My friends are all quarantining (U.S.) so can't really see them but we message online most of the time anyway. Life overall is going well though. I like where I'm staying, I have a job I work remote, and I've been finding new creative ways to stay active. Can't complain much :)

Erratic sleep, wife lost her job (in my opinion, all the better, as she is out of a toxic environment), kids are fine, but I'm furious and would very much like to find her former boss and colleagues and murder a few, or at least I want something really bad happening to them.

Also, a company found my CV to their liking and sent me a challenge to do. I hope I managed to do a god job so I go to an interview.

My current company is the one that fired my wife.

There was a character in a Mario game that screamed a sentence that perfectly summed up my inner turmoil:
"I HAVE FURY!"

It’s been tolerable. There are some very definite stresses when forced to deal with your parents 24/7, though. At the very least, I’ve been learning to cook new foods, and I’m really enjoying that.
Glad to hear. What had you learned?

Well, the first thing didn't end up quite so well. I tried making potato croquettes, though they fell apart during the frying process and generated quite a bit of smoke, haha.

But I kept at it, and learned some recipes from my dad, who used to work as a chef. One of them is called Khoresh, which is a kind of Persian stew. Another was just simple tortilla soup. It's quite fun to make things, rather than buy store-made versions!

Haha, I see, so, your dad was a chef? Also, yeah, I like to cook too. Its a pretty fun and satisfactory experience rather that buying something in a store (But God, I burned myself so many times xD)

Make bread. I do it quite often. Simple, affordable and a marvelous way to pass the time. And having your house smelling of bread is something great.

I love hearing my daughter and wife telling me "smells like bread". As soon as that thing leaves the oven, they get ready to pounce on it. And I almost have to fight them to wait 15 minutes for the bread to settle.

Maybe you forgot the Egg(s) and the Cornstarch ?
I didn't forget eggs, though I didn't know to use cornstarch. Hmm, perhaps that's the trick!

He worked as a chef for, I want to stay maybe 40 years? So he's got quite a lot of experience to teach. And every time I try to reach in the oven to check something or fry oil, I think "oh I won't get burned this time!", but I always do. :rofl2:

Oh, that's a lovely idea! Do you use a bread maker, or do you make it in the oven?

Both, actually. But lately, I use my hands and oven.
Bread maker does a very good job, specially kneading, but making it manually allows me to make individual bread instead of a big loaf, and I can control the raising process. It's almost a science on itself. Lately, I'm perfecting the french bread technique. It destroys a whole morning or afternoon but the final result is amazing.

Nice. What type of music? Also, what are you gonna cook?
I make all sort of stuff. I mainly do chiptune music, for retro systems in mind.
Any genre can be in, I mostly venture in the folkloric and prog rock territory when I can, or techno.

As for dinner, I'm currently cooking chicken breasts in garlic butter, with diced tomatoes, mixed vegetables and beans to make a thick sauce, which I will add the chicken when fully cooked.
I will serve it with noodles.
