Because the Hi-Res Texture version of Wii64 fixes the Donkey Kong 64 camera glitch.
nope its the same codding as regular one lol emukid just never compiled them before, fix94 wii64 compiled versions have the same fixes minus the texture paks.

download both fix94 compiled versions and test https://github.com/FIX94/Wii64/releases

I've already tested this. Which is why I came asking if someone knew where to find the Hi-Res Textures version.

This confusion began as it follows:

  • Some months ago I downloaded the Hi-Res texture, played DK64 and found the second boot bug.
  • Some days ago, read that Wii64 was updated and I thought that the bug should've been fixed, so I deleted the Hi-Res Texture version and used the FIX94 instead
  • Found that FIX94 has the same DK camera glitch
  • Came to ask for the Hi-Res Texture version
  • Learned that FIX94 and Hi-Res Texture are different versions of the same emulator

fix94 had a mini build of wii64 maybe that is the version you wanted altough it lacks many fixes tough.

it would be really wonderful if anyone with the ability to compile could post a newly compiled .dol of [wii64 ricewith hi-res pack enabled] with the latest 17 new commits. I just thought I'd be super bold and ask ...
yeah unfortunely i dont think anyone can compile them besides emukid/extrems or maybe fix94.

Wouldn't be nicer and more polite to the dev if the discussion remained Not64 relevant?

If i compiled a new Wii64 dol successfully because i was eager to test those really useful Not64 updates that were merged, so can anyone.

wii64 had not64 fixes merged to it so how is it not relevant to the dev when its code is on the project? lol.

The thread is called Not64, whose dev is called Extrems, not Wii64 and FIX94/emukidid. Asking for binaries to another emulator. It's the same reason you do not go to snes9x forums to talk about GX, common sense.

Anyway, regarding the main discussion and the reason for this thread: 240p affects compatibility, which was never reported before.

Hi guys,

I'm trying to run some Mario 64 hacks like Super Banjo 64. Is there any version that does not freeze after 3D Mario head intro?

Many thanks

Update:

I noticed not64 included on Wiiflow Mastermod from 2016 could run lots of mod hacks...
But the latest versions from 2020 can't.

Will it be fixed??

Hey extrems just stopping by and saying i tested something that i beleive its a unique issue i guess

battlezone rise of the black dogs does seem wierd on not64 i mean there is i guess 2 chances
1- the game camera is jusst too zoomed in on the right down corner?
or 2- only the right down corner gets shown? seems its either not showing the full screen or just out of alignment? first time i saw this error on not64, i kinda reminds me of those games that only did half the screen or something.

Mildly unrelated but does anyone have a build of Wii64 Rice that doesn't crash when loading another rom?
I'm having the exact same issue.

Very annoying.

I have the app and roms on my SD card and the games play fine. But if I'm in "basic" mode and I exit a game I CANNOT load another game without getting a crash dump. The only way around it is to load the games from "advance" mode. Quickly going to the advance tab and back does nothing. Am I missing something? I have the box art .bin which is why this upsets me so much as I can't see the box art in advance mode.

I did some experimenting with only a handful of roms on the SD card and it worked just fine. So maybe this has to do with the number of roms and possibly the cover art itself?

Any suggestions or fixes?

easy dont use the boxart mode to load roms, just go to advanced settings and you will be at the old wii64 menu and there you can load as many roms as you want.

Thanks but I already stated that was the only way to avoid the problem.

It defeats the purpose of having the box art

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
