i formated my switch on ofw as i wanted to stare i did setup the sd card in the past but had to use the sd card for something elce it was booting into the hecate ipl no sd screen befor the format but not after evan with an sd card and files on the sd in still nothing

You might be looking at a hardware issue where the clk, cmd or dat0 is not properly connected anymore.
That is what the red light is trying to tell you.
The hwfly modchip only does its magic when rebooting so that is why you might not have noticed it before.

realy dam i was able to reboot maltipul times before i formated i even tryed a few times right before i did that

If it was a soft reboot from the homebrew menu then the modchip isn't used.
Only when you fully power off the Switch and power it on again, it needs the modchip.
It is always situations like these where issues like these become apparent.
