So I bought a used 2dsXL (yeah, yeah, dont buy used.) It was 80 bucks and at worst it would have an issue like this because the sale was in person so I know it's not permabricked. I have installed boot9strap with Luma 10.1.3 and Godmode9. Note this issue occurred before I installed cfw. I'm usually pretty good at figuring these things out but I'm a bit lost on this one. My sd card is 32gb and I formatted it to fat32 with 32k cluster. It happens at random but it usually takes 10 to 30 minutes. I've had it freeze at the home screen and in the settings app.
UPDATE: right before i installed a .cia file I bumped the top right corner lightly with my hand and got
. after a restart it booted to home menu i then applied light pressure to top right corner (right of c stick) and got
rebooting got me 
then one more reboot and i was back to home menu. what are these error codes, what does it mean, and what do i do from here
