When I turn on my New Nintendo 3DS, the blue light comes on for about three seconds and then the bottom screen flashes for less than a second and instantly turns off which is accompanied with a popping noise. The humidity sticker near the battery is untouched and when I disassembled the New 3DS there were no signs of corrosion or water damage to the motherboard. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

The top screen (or some other important part) is damaged or not connected properly
Try disassembling it again and reconnecting the top screen cables but be careful!

This is how my new3DS failed. I can tell you right now that the cable connecting the top and bottom assembly is probably damaged from opening and closing it too many times. This is beyond a pain to fix and I can't honestly recommend it.

What I do is make sure the battery is fully charged and connected and re-seat all of the ribbon cables
