question for anyone using wii u vwii and wiiflow 5.

are you able to launch emunand wiiware games? for some reason it's not working for me.

@Plstic not sure I understand. you need an option to not use SSL? why? something to do with wiimfi patch?

I use Altwfc instead of wiimfi. it's better than wiimfi except mario kart wii.

@fledge68 The NoSSL patch disables the games ability to verify if the server that you're connecting to is owned by Nintendo. WiiFlow already contains the code as it's used for Wiimmfi.

Patching in an address other than Wiimmfi is easy enough.

Thanks but how did you make your emunand? Is it in vwiinands? Is emulation set to full or partial?

I am using the nand created a long time ago with wiiflow
for wii i renamed it to nands
for vWii I renamed vwiinands
and both are on SD and USB

not sure why its any different in v5.4.6.
my logical guess is you are not using the coverflows default.ini provided in the v5.4.6 release download. sounds like you are using the internal settings that wiiflow uses when that file is missing. that would also explain why you can't change layout modes either.

Thanks! Yes, that makes perfect sense to me. Oddly enough I tried wiping out everything and starting with default everything, but out still wouldn't work, until I reverted to 5.4.4, then installed 5.4.6 over top of it using the HB browser. I'm sure it has something to do with how it is meant to be installed, and something I didn't do right.

The Cover "Flow" works now really great,sometimes single "corrupt" Covers appears,but it is gone with scrolling back/forward.



Another Thing I have noticed now is,while USBLoader GX and Configurable USBLoader loads for the PAL Games always the English Cover,WiiFlow decides for many Games to use the French Cover:

I'm having the occasional corrupt cover issue too. It happens with HQ covers disabled or enabled, no difference. I was thinking it was related to the memory usage from my theme, but I see it's also happening on the default theme for you.

WiiFlow decides for many Games to use the French Cover:

Can it be related to the cover priority setting? Maybe the english cover is missing from Wiitdb for some reason and the next found is French? Just a guess.

It is not really a big Issue,but maybe related to the Amount of the Games (800+) ?

Ok,thank you.Cover Priority ? Honestly,I never take a Note of that Setting(s).
It is strange,for the many german Titled Games,it loads the German Covers automatically without I ever touched the Country Setting.
But that can be maybe the Reason,there are only german Covers on the Database.

I have the exact same issue. Just a minor cosmetic inconvenience really, but it does occur often. My library size is only 33 games, with covers stored on USB drive. I don't recall this issue when they we're stored on an SD card, but that was an earlier version of WiiFlow Lite.

Can't get wiiflow to work. After choosing the game I want to play, wiiflow loads it (you see the wiiflow splash screen) and than bsod...wiimote disconnects.

Playing games with cfg usb loader works though.

WiiU/vWii with cIOS installed and I want to play games from SD card.

I used to have this issue with some SD cards and USB drives. For me, what worked was experimenting with the Startup Settings in WiiFlow…
1. First and foremost, try enabling Force IOS load. (I'm going from memory, the wording might be slightly different)
2. If that doesn't solve it, try also manually specifying an IOS. Start with 249. Then 250. Then 251 (if you have that installed).

If that doesn't work, come back here and let us know!

I'm assuming you also tried enabling "Force CIOS Load"? Try one more thing. Unplug the USB drive as an experiment. The power supply delivered by the USB port on the Wii & WiiU seems to duck the moment WiiFlo goes to load a game. That shouldn't matter since you are using the SD slot, but I've seen stranger things happen. If that works, disable access to the USB in Wiiflo. If that doesn't work… someone who knows more than me will have to help you.

If your wii games are on sd then set force cios off.

your situation is very weird.

the only suggestion i have left is to disconnect your SSD drive once you are in vwii mode and run wiiflow.
keep force cios set to off and cios set 249.
and if that don't work - switch to a sdhc card. wiiflow was developerd for the wii which was only compatible with sd and sdhc cards back in 2006 - 2012. and homebrew code was developed for sdhc cards. but then again i don't know what exactly is the difference with a sdxc card.

basically i'm just making wild guesses because i really have no idea what your problem is.

Good idea!

Had a 32GB SDHC card and tried it: With it it works. Wiiflow, the game forwarder and cfg USB Loader (even with WiiU SSD attached). Could start games without problems.

Will check the difference between the sdxc and sdhc card (clustersize etc.) tomorrow (here in germany it's almost 3am) and will give information if I find something worth mentioning.
