Hacking Wiiflow media file synopsis help if possible

As the title states I'm wondering how to add a synopsis for each movie I've legally ripped from my physical media and added to the movies folder for us with wiimc-ss on the newer version of wiiflow lite using the Rhapshima source theme. I attempted to just make my own folder called Media in plugins_data and created a media.ini and media.xml file to create an id number for the file and then to give items like title, genre, year, and synopsis for one movie as a test. This seemed like it would work until I hit reload cache and my wiiflow just sat there trying to work for quite a while. I eventually turned it off and forced it to boot in the normal system menu. I went into wiixplorer and a new file called gametdb_offsets.bin had been created. The issue here is that of course wiitdb would have no entries for a random video file. Once I deleted the media folder in plugins_data wiiflow opened just fine. I don't really want to edit the wiitdb.xml file unless I absolutely have to and I know it would get replaced if wiiflow for any reason downloaded wiitdb again. If this turns out to not be the place to ask this can you please tell me where I should ask it? Again all movie files are legally ripped from physical media which I own
