ROM Hack How to cheat in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Just fixed it by reducing the specific rows in the cheat file.
If you tried to modify inventory items like Clay, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, ...ect separately, you will suffer that sort of crash.
Pleas try to merge them together and delete other codes which may not be used at once.

May I ask for more details? Use hotkey L+Left Pad Down+Right stick push, and the menu does not appear? Or just like us, after you open it and it crashes the switch?

For those of you having trouble with the Edizon overlay, I highly recommend updating both nx-overloader and tesla-menu along with Edizon itself. Also make sure the BuildID for your game is correct. Any update to a game will change the BuildID.

After updating the game to 1.2.0 and changing the cheat file's name to 20CA968C082118C2.txt, all of the cheats appear to have been broken. I can still pull up the Edizon overlay in the game, but any cheats that I activate from this menu will have no effect in the game. At the same time, for some reason the EdiZon overlay now seems to be much less responsive to my button input, often requiring up to 10 button press attempts before they register.

If I download the latest version of ovlEdiZon.ovl from GitHub, attempting to open the cheat menu results in an immediate Atmosphere crash and forced reboot.

I updated to 10.0.1 on my switch, so I updated the guide too to suit the new update. Everything is working fine now but you'll have to find new cheats for the 1.2.0 patch for AC. Have fun guys, hopefully the guide is more readable and easy to understand!

You need to update the actual cheat codes, most of the pointers got broken and people had to repost cheats with new pointers. I added some info about where to find new cheats on the bottom of my guide, hopefully that helps you. Right now, text-to-item cheat is working (the updated one.)

If you're on 1.2.0, you'll have to update the codes. You could use this to spawn items in one at a time on demand:

Edizon and cheats were working fine, until this morning. I went to hack in some items and tries booting ACNH. Now the game won't even boot. It tells me that an error occured.

I updated atmosphere and Hetake properly but cannot open animal crossing it says "an error has occurred" any solutions? Or suggestions?


Yes I reformated the SD card and did everything like a new CFW install.

Any suggestions?
