i know it's a bit early to think of this, but is there a cia version? with banner and stuff? i look foward to having this on my "emulators" folder.
Btw mario64 is quite playable and i love the 3D feature, im impressed by how fast you came up with it, can't wait for updates and improvements

Thanks @MasterFeizz for the chance to test the update!

This build of MasterFeizz' "DaedalusX64" port includes an early implementation of the ARM Dynamic Recompiler. While performance is slightly better in this build, it should improve over the course of development as more instructions are emulated resulting in a more complete and optimized emulation. This build also fixes numerous rendering fixes, allowing several games to become much more playable. Do not comment on how to run this build, as this is just an update that shows progress.

The latest update demo video was really incredible, amazed at how fast this is progressing. Looking forward to see how Paper Mario runs on this thing.

I did some testing on Paper Mario, it runs at half speed currently, but the 3d rendering is about perfect. Definitely playable unlike the mess that was v0.1 renderer

That is awesome especially considering the optimization seems to keep improving :toot: any chance you could upload a video of Paper Mario running?

With my New 3ds XL CFW I loaded Daedalusx64 then it showed me the black screen with my roms. After I clicked one it boots me back to the homebrew launcher

Cool video. How much is N64 fps standard?

F-Zero seems running smooth <3

DX64 on the N3DS should be able to run faster than on the psp, right? Becuz of newer and faster CPU.

I havent been in the 3ds scene for years. But this makes me feel happy :)

Did you try multiple roms? Chances are they're not supported yet. In the case of Super Mario 64, you need a European z64 version of the rom.

Beat it. It's definitely doable. Didn't 100% it because I couldn't stand the frame dip (7-8 frames) in Dire Dire Docks. View attachment 205470
Damn that is some dedication pushing to get through this!

This is not necessarily the case because the PSP has two processors from the same family of architectures as the N64: MIPS processors (: the media engine and the Allegrex). The 3ds' CPU is ARM which makes emulating it comparatively harder, so hopefully there's enough power in the 3DS to make it possible since also smartphones are ARM (quite more powerful), and they do run N64 emulators very well.

In theory yes. But realistically only if the dynarec improves to the point.

I wonder how it works on PSP now. I remember to download this on my PSP very happy to play Doubutsu no Mori, then my PSP always crashes in anywhere forcing me deleting it.
I'm unable to use my 3DS now but I wonder how Doubutsu no Mori is on this new one? If someone can record to me I'll be glad!
