I can confirm that Majora's Mask works in the current build I'm running, but the rendering is holding it back from being playable as you can't really see too much geometry.I don't think it's gonna be running all of the N64 library anytime soon but something about playing the OG Mario 64 on my 3DS with full analog control has to be one of the best feelings in my life even though the game is running at like 15 frames per second if I'm lucky.
Also does anyone know if Expansion Pak support is gonna be a thing at some point? If so, this might be my goto way of playing SM64 ROM hacks and OG Majora's Mask. Keep up the hard work OP!
On the N64 we are working in 3D space, so I have access to the depth data necessary for stereoscopic 3D. I'm not emulating 3d, it is 3d. Super Mario RPG is a 2d sprite based game, so no real 3dSorry I'm noob about it. But how the hell did he emulate a real 3D? From 0.0.2a that I tested Paper Mario (at least an intro) it was truly 3D with differences in space between one object and another. Or have I seen wrong and is it a 3d effect like the home of 3ds?
Emulating snes with 3d for Super Mario RPG would no longer be an impossible dream (I speak of real 3d with true depth, which is technically possible given that snes works in layers).
Wait, so every single 3D game basically automatically generates stereoscopic 3d in this thing?? dammit now I want that as a rom hackKirby Triple Deluxe 64
no not reallyApologizes. Emulate in the sense that together with the game also 3d is processed. But I don't understand. Are the 3DS 3D games (e.g. Mario & Luigi remakes) not special settings in the game camera? In the sense, I can create a fake SBS (what Kinoni does for PC) but it does not create real depth because in theory every game must be created specifically with that system that recognizes the depths of every object present in the scene / seen from the camera. Because it doesn't make sense that you can't enable 3D in games like Mario's remakes if you can do it with n64 games (so without industry experience, it would say to me that you just have to change the function of how the game camera Draw the scene on the monitor.
Let me explain better, technically creating 3d games with 3d support requires a graphics engine that is able to support this function (at least so I understood for 3ds, which is why games like pokemon ORAS can never be 3d in the overworld) Or it is just a question of activating the camera that sends the correct 3d visualization to the monitor?
I know I may have been completely wrong but I would like a final explanation on the story. A long time ago I tried to create a system to have real 3d photos as a background in the home 3ds (but I was told that it was impossible to show 3d photos as a background).
can't wait til we get kirb 64 workingWelp, I tried SM64. It was the only game that worked. So then I tried Star Road. It also worked XD
(The console compatible version of Star Road)

I did a BLJ![]()
OK, Thanksno not really
for a lot of 3ds games it is customized per game to work better, and for purely sprite based games (or stuff like NES 3D Classics) it has to be.
but the thing is... polygonal 3d n64 games are already 3d so you can just automatically apply the depth effect and it works.
yes. it just runs relatively slower.does this work on the old 3ds
Yes, it does, but the performance is best on New 3DS.does this work on the old 3ds
Oh hey! I featured your N64 Emulator in a video on my YouTube channel! You can check it out here. BTW, thanks for the rickrollyes. it just runs relatively slower.
channel link plsFor those of you wondering..........
DaedalusX64 will only run at a good framrate on the N3DSXL and N2DSXL systems. They will not run well on O3DS systems. I installed Mariokart N64 Circuit on my old 3ds and it ran poorly at 26.0 FPS. Recomend downloading EU roms so your 3ds doesn't crash
