hi :P I'm new here, and tired, so I'm sorry if I've messed something up! I recently bought a copy of My Secret World for the DS from a second hand store. It's a diary game aimed at tween girls, I enjoyed the idea of using this random game as my actual journal so I bought it. When I opened it on my 3DS, there was an existing save file (last opened 26 December 2013), but I couldn't access it because I didn't know the 4 digit PIN or the security question. I tried a bunch of super common PINs (like 0000, 1234, 9876 etc) but no luck. I erased the file (my new diary is going strong, it's actually a fun little game), but before I did I saved a backup with Checkpoint of the original save. I'm curious if there's a way of getting around that lock, without just straight up brute forcing? Is there anything I could use to look into this more? Honestly I'm most interested in the process (if it can be done) than the actual diary.

Hello, I like handhelds and Pokemon so I am of course looking for a Nintendo console I can buy. Naturally I had gotten the latest console back in 2018 but my experience was less than stellar because of a plethora of reasons(stick drift, patched console, bad pokemon games!!). Lately though I've kind of fallen in love with the 3DS, It just looks so cool and innovative and had a great game library too not even mentioning the modding community. It being an extremely old console I'd expected for it to be cheap but Its like 300 bucks. I can kinda see why, its a great console and I guess something happened for it to be relevant again. But I want to get this console nevertheless so I wanted a bit of advice on what to do. Should I buy it now since the prices will continue to rise or is this just a trend and shoul I wait for the prices to lower again? Many thanks.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share Nocturne, an unofficial fork of 3hs.
It keeps the normal hShop features, but adds a different look, custom wallpaper support, and some download/performance changes.
Nocturne is based on 3hs 1.5.10.

What changed

Nocturne has a wallpaper-based UI with light-pink accents, smoother menus, and redesigned title/download screens.
It also includes some performance changes for New 3DS / New 2DS models, mainly focused on improving download and install speed.

Download improvements

On New 3DS / New 2DS systems, Nocturne uses an enhanced download/install path with:

804 MHz CPU mode
L2 cache
dedicated Core 2 CIA writer
buffered download/install pipeline

In my testing, downloads were around 30% faster on New 3DS hardware.

Old 3DS and Old 2DS systems are also supported, but they use a safer compatibility path, so lower speeds are expected.

Compatibility

Use v1.2.1 or newer.
Older v1.0.0 builds were New 3DS-only and could fail on Old 3DS / Old 2DS because of a CIA writer thread issue.
Newer builds automatically choose the correct writer mode depending on the console.

Installation

Download the latest CIA from the Github releases page and install it with FBI.
You can install it over an existing version.
If the HOME Menu icon or banner does not update, reboot your console. If it still stays cached, delete and reinstall the app.

It is not maintained or supported by the hShop team.
