New Star Wars game called "Project Maverick" has leaked on the PlayStation Network

The PlayStation Network might have just accidentally leaked the existence of a new Star Wars game. The information comes from a Twitter bot called PSN releases, which uses the PlayStation Network API to post new updates and games that go live on the digital storefront. Earlier today, that account posted a Tweet saying that a new game, Maverick, had been added to the European PSN, alongside an image that showed the text Project Maverick using the Star Wars logo.

These types of leaks have happened in the past, with both the Resident Evil 3's remake and Final Fantasy VII Remake's demo appearing on the PlayStation Network prior to an official announcement, and while the source could be considered dubious, Kotaku claims that "Project Maverick" is a game currently in development at EA Motive, and is a "smaller, more unusual project".

EA did a good job with The Fallen Order, they proved they can still make AAA game, if they are not that money-hunger as ever.

This is the fourth time a Star Wars game made me want to buy a PlayStation, and we don't even know anything about it

EA did a good job with The Fallen Order
Repawn proved they can still make a good game despite the acquisition by EA as long as EA has no input.
they proved they can still make AAA game
they proved in the AAA space acting as a hands-off cash machine with no input allowing the talent they bought with their dirty money can make a good AAA game.
if they are not that money-hunger as ever.
yeah i'm hoping this stops thier push for lootboxes/microtransactions too, but one data-point will be ignored by the cancer that is EA.
lol.[/QUOTE
I agree lol

New X-Wing vs Tie Fighter maybe?
But I sadly have zero hopes that it will be as good and advanced as the previous titles

or just maybe a new Rogue Squadron game

Can someone explain this to me:

Rogue Leader was, back in 2002, the most impressive piece of video entertainement we had ever seen: gorgeous, fluid, fast, fun and, oh boy, challenging...For many of us, a system seller, plain and simple.

After this (and many successful PC saga like Wing commander or Starlancer), how come the arcade space shooter genra vanished into oblivion ? It's part of the things my small brain is completely unable to grasp.

Was I the only one on this planet to willingly sacrifice dozen of week ends to shoot down ties and star destroyers ? And rebel strike was sooooo fun with coop campaign, dog fights and the Endor race ! Sad Nintendo killed the Wii port...which should have included light saber battles.

So long Factor 5, we miss you...

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
