Just a week after publisher Private Division revealed the release date of The Outer Worlds for the Nintendo Switch, the company has walked back that announcement, and has instead delayed the game. This is due to the Coronavirus outbreak, which has impacted Studio Virtuos, who is working on the port. To compensate for the delay, the publisher has decided to release the game, which was scheduled to be digital-only, on physical cartridges.

We’re delaying the game on Nintendo Switch due to the coronavirus impacting the Virtuos team working on the port, to provide them enough time to finish development. We’ll now be releasing the physical version on cartridge. Once we have a new launch date, we’ll let you know!

Good on them for taking on board the feedback on the game being digital only. When I buy a physical game, I want to own that game, not download a game with a license.

Since the game carts are made in China and are coated with that yucky stuff, I wouldn't recommend go licking the carts just out of curiosity to see what it tastes like.
Just like food labels, "Item may contain traces of Corona".
