If you have a properly modded Wii, you can play games from any region. And there's no need to ever update from 4.1 since 4.2 and 4.3 were specifically created to fix exploits.

What do you mean properly modded? I just installed the hbc, do i need to do anything else?

If you followed the recommended guide and have the Homebrew Channel, then you should be good to go. Are you using USB Loader GX as your "loader"? There are at least three well liked loaders. I've been using USB Loader GX to load "backups" (ISOs/WBFSs) from different regions directly from my USB hard drive since 2012. You should have no trouble doing the same.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
