Team [WAIN] is back with a quick update to their SX Autoloader release!

We have not heard from Team [WAIN] for a while, and today they dropped a bomb-shell of an add-on to SX OS, a simple little file that adds a much needed feature, 'auto-loading' of all your backup cartridges, no more hunting thru lots of icons to find a game and mounting it just click on the Game Icon you want to play right now and magically the cartridge will be inserted for you, its like having a multi-CD-changer attached to your Switch console!

Thanks to their friends at Team [WAIN] they have released an small 'add-on' to their SX OS v2.9.2 which allows you to 'auto-load', what that means now you just find the game you have previously played on your Horizon Home Screen, click on it, and even if it is a dumped cartridge in XCI format, as long as you still have the files on your Micro SD-Card and/or USB HDD, it will now auto-mount the cartridge backup for you and launch it, no more getting upset seeing the 'insert the game card' message, then having to go to Album, launch via their SX OS menu, scroll-over and find the game, and mount it and go back.

As long as you have at least mounted your XCI image once via their SX OS menu, now you can just simply click on a XCI Game Icon and it will Auto-Mount and Launch for you directly from the Horizon Home Screen. Is that not amazing!

NOTE: If you have large XCI collection on your USB HDD, first time usage may take a couple of minutes for the database to be built.
IMPORTANT: If you get an Error Code on boot-up, then it means your SD Card has corruption on it, please re-format it and start fresh.

As usual, you can find their latest version of SX Autoloader in the TX Community Resources section, just unpack the new version overwriting the previous files.

Wait... seriously?! This is so cool! So it's kind of like PSP's thing where it would load it in the "USD" (or whatever it was called ha) slot? Like emulate a cartridge?

I've never owned a PSP or any of its variants, so I can't say for sure, but that sounds about right.

XCI can be loaded off of an external hard drive, though. Well worth the "hard-earned money" imo, since it's less than half the cost of a single Switch game.

just drop it now guys, people are welcome to their opinions, we don't need 100 posts requesting other posts be deleted report it if you think its a violation of the terms, but just know the threshold is fairly high, other mods have differing standards, but i generally side on if its a legit opinion on a topic it gets left alone. he doesn't want to pay $20 for TXOS, thats fair enough, i'm sure a lot of people also wouldn't , does he need to say that, nope, doesn't really add anything to the thread, but its also his right to share his opinion on the topic

But it's about the intent isn't it? We all know it's posted to cause a fight and start things. Not to mention, his replies make it very clear that he's trolling trying to piss people off. I think it's better to remove those comments, to stop arguments at its source, because as you can see, it starts with one comment, then derails into chaos from multiple people arguing. I really think you should be removing those types of comments, and then warning them. It's the ONLY way to keep this on topic and to stop trolls, like Leon.

I agree with Josshy yes everyone is entitled to there opinion but where do the mods stand on bating which Leon is clearly doing yes it’s nothing extreme but it is dangling the carrot so to speak.The behaviour and immaturity over tx from both sides puts me off visiting this site as it’s like a schoolyard.

On topic: I have been hoping something like this would come around as I can't tell you how many times I have clicked on a game that I thought was mounted and was given that "Please insert game card" notification.
I see they are planning on adding USBHDD support soon. That would be even better as my USB drive is loaded with XCI's that I have to search through for a long time to get to the game I want at times.

forgive me for my ignorance, but if you're using CFW and stuff with TX, Why does this matter? Like why not just download the game onto the home menu, instead of pretending it's a game cart?
