Hi @Bladeoner. Today i noticed that while this commit changes Settings.SoundInputRate = 31950 to 31920 in video.cpp, when you revert it, that change stayed, while bearoso did changed it back to 31950. Was it on purpose for Snes9xGX?

Another minor bugs i've found in GX 4.4.3:
- If you press the + button to switch between covers/artwork/screenshots right after going up or down on the game list, it will load the rom. You need to wait at least 3 seconds for it to work as intended, this behavior is kinda random. Same happens if you press + button quickly, it will load the game after a couple of tries. Even the - button loads a game if you press it a couple of times! This will only happen on the Wii U Pro Controller. FCEUltra GX is also affected by this, probably VBA GX too.
- Background OGG menu music doesn't seem to load when using a Wii Menu forwarder.

@niuus about the value 31920 this is the best match for Snes9x GX because we use the older APU and not the S-SMP APU which is used in Snes9x.

The other bugs you found, I don't own a Wii U so I won't be able to test that. Which forwarder do you use? I also use a channel forwarder and it seems to be working fine with the bg_music I have.

Cool!

Oh, i only ever use a Wii for testing, never a Wii U. Wii U Pro Controller is completely compatible since it was included in libogc some time ago. It's the only platform i use to check bugs.

I am using the ones made by @Tanooki16 . Could you point me to a download for your forwarder to check it? Thanks!

EDIT: I pinpointed the strange bug: it is related to the name of the app folder. If you do not use Snes9xGX as the name (e.g: Snes, Snes9x) it will create and load the settings file (settings.xml) from inside the snes9xgx folder on the root of the device only, also ignoring the external fonts+ogg if they are not there.

I also use the one from Tanooki, good that you found what caused the issue.

About the Wii U Pro Controller, I don't have one so I can't test it.

It's okey, just a quick heads up in case you want to tackle the remaining issues, that's why i didn't wanted to post the issue on the project's Github.

But where's the download? The one linked from Tanooki16 goes to Snes9xRX folder, which i don't think must be the same that you're using right now or else you would have experienced the bug too. :D

Just a minor thing, is it possible to update the readme.txt included with the new version?

@Bladeoner Hi Bladeoner, just discovered a bug in the latest version, when starting a game, the first one or 2 seconds of the game bootup are missing, so if you have a game with title or intro music at the very beginning of the game, you won't hear it from the start. Does is maybe have something to do with the screen option set to 'original'? Because when opening the menu in original mode, it is delayed and will show up after two or three seconds.

Not a bug, that's your tv switching between video modes. The menu runs in a different mode than original. Your tv takes longer to switch.

Is there any way to edit the forwarder channel? It’s very useful but it’s current implementation is a bit silly what with the weird fan art and Wind Waker music. Same goes for the FCEUGX forwarder, with similar art and an incredibly loud clip from Super Mario Bros. If anyone can point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it.

When will there be a new official compilation? Latest one is from April with lots of submissions since.
I still love my Wii, it's the ultimate Nintendo emulation platform.

For FCEUGX, my mod (with his modified forwarder): https://gbatemp.net/threads/fce-ultra-gx-mod-preview-wiiupro-screenshot-button.396515/page-17

And my Snes9xGX forwarder with the music changed:
