You have to look at the Ryzen line-up if you want to deduce what the likely scenario is going to be.

Go back to how this conversation started and you'll find out. As for the GPU on-board the new PS5 and Xbox, they'll probably be based on RDNA, but no specific chips have been confirmed yet since there is no die to look at. There are some rumoured specs of the devkits, that's it.

I don't. NVidia has nothing new on the horizon and AMD only has Navi up their sleeve as far as GPU's go.

Except Nvidia has their "SUPER" GPUs "on the horizon" (which is like a refreshed 2xxx series, except Nvidia is boosting the core counts and most likely VRAM on all of them), and Navi is almost 100% going to force Nvidia to drop their prices if the supposed performance is even remotely accurate to what is claimed.

Also, RTX 2080's are only $750, not $1000 each, so it's $1500 it'd had to be, not $2000

But yeah, 100% agree their "4x the power!!" claim is BS, I imagine they're simply referring to the overall performance improvement, not any one particular piece of hardware. They probably factor in things like their super special SSD in it to reduce loading times, plus the CPU and GPU and GDDR6 etc etc to make the claim "marketing accurate".

As for the impact of WiFi, Bluetooth or any other signal in the 2Ghz to 5Ghz spectrum, there is no credible evidence that non-ionising radiation like that has any impact on health. At all. You also can't stop it either, you're surrounded by cell towers. Your TV remote shoots out an infra red beam at your TV whenever you tweak the volume. The *sun* is blasting radiation at you all day long, cosmic radiation is surrounding you at all times. So yeah, unless you plan on covering your house with lead plates and never leave or turn on any lights, the impact of a low-power antenna found in a console is the least of your worries. Your link is listing half-truths. The WHO did order a test battery to check if frequencies in the 0-300GHz spectrum are harmful to health in any way, that much is correct. "Environmental Health" forgets to mention that the results were negative - no negative health effects were found.

Extensive research has been conducted into possible health effects of exposure to many parts of the frequency spectrum. All reviews conducted so far have indicated that exposures below the limits recommended in the ICNIRP (1998) EMF guidelines, covering the full frequency range from 0-300 GHz, do not produce any known adverse health effect.

The difference between holding a controller and sticking your head in a microwave is fairly obvious - about 800W of a difference. Apples and oranges.

I will give you an amazing tip though, because I am generous. The antennas on both the PS4 and the Xbox One are removable - unclip them and your problem is solved. Next, buy a USB controller with no wireless capabilities whatsoever - they're cheap. Problem solved, you're no longer "holding a microwave". You're still wrong, but I wish you well.
