TX Presents SX OS v2.7 BETA - Full v8.0.1 Compatible!

Good day, friends! We are pleased to announce the release of SX OS 2.7 beta.
SXOS27.jpg

Well, if you been waiting to try out 'boost mode' in Zelda or play MK11, well no more waiting, you can now update and enjoy! :)
This update brings full compatibility with firmware 8.0.0 and 8.0.1. All your favorite SX OS functionality (emuNAND, XCI emulation, cheats, etc.) should work as intended.

SX OS v2.7 beta is available on our website and through our Online Update right now!

We keep getting excellent feedback from our users, and have accumulated a nice todo list for new SX OS functionality. Its been almost a year since our initial release, but we promise we're still actively working on adding new features and improving existing ones.

Of course, behind the scenes we are also still working hard on our solution for those "unhackable" switches. Good progress is being made, so hang in there!
That's it for today, keep checking back for more updates!

Test environnement - SX OS 2.7 BETA - 8.0.1 EmuNAND (ChoiDuJourNX), on a 400GB SanDisk FAT32 formatted SD card.

So far, after some tests with my purchased games on the eShop (back then) and now on the EmuNAND partition.
Some games aren't working anymore with the 2.7 BETA (used to work with the previous versions of SX OS)

- The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild
- Dragon Quest BUILDERS
- Puyo Puyo Tetris
- Fast RMX
- Overcooked Special Edition
- Shovel Knight - Treasure Trove
- Rayman Legends - Definitive Edition
- Resident Evil Revelations
- Yooka-Laylee
- Lego City Undercover

So, that confirms the results from other users with NSP and/or installed XCI.

Seems to be related with FS/ES sigpatches.

Just tried Yooka-Laylee and Shovel Knight - Treasure Trove and they are indeed not working. Hope the devs look into this soon.

As someone else said, it honestly sounds like the same issues people had on atmos with 8.x with certain games - and it's not a problem for the cfw to fix, it's about getting a working copy of the game. Even old scene releases might be questionable, look for clean cdn dumps of the same game and try those.

But all that games you guys already had previously installed or did you just installed them?

Here a few ppl already reported their games got corrupted and reinstalling them started to work.

Or is this really a new problem and a lot of games just don't work?

Guess I'm keeping old SXOS and emunand on V6 for quite some time or update to version 7 no idea, I don't even use the console ;)...

Like I've explained, i have tested with my legally purchased games that came from the OFW before doing my NAND backup months ago (transfered to the EmuNAND with the operation), so the files are completely clean.

I've redumped all the files files just now and compared all my games to the CDN servers.
Absolute same NCA and CNMT files hashes just now for all of them.

No SD card corruption, no files manipulation, resigning or even installations with something else than the eShop legal method back then.

That's why I'm concluding about sigpatches problem, as legally bought and NSP/XCI installs are doing the same result, on the same games that mutiple users are reporting even now.

EDIT : I've tested an original game card for 'The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild' just now. The game is working perfectly in that configuration.
I will test with my XCI dump of that same card later with the USB-HDD mounting with the dock and trying to install the game on a second SD card just after that.

EDIT 2 :
So, The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild works with my original game card. Works also with the XCI file mounted from USB on the dock.
If I install the XCI file and launch the game on a second SD card, without any patches AND with the last patch, it fails.
I tried with the clean NSP dump from my private CDN backup, same result.

I tried the same protocol with Puyo Puyo Tetris, same result.

Game card and XCI mounting aren't affected at all by the problem, only reading an installed game from the SD/NAND.
So it is related to some patches done by the CFW as even legally bought (and VERIFIED) eShop games could be affected.

Cool, working like a charm.

Bit off topic but throwing that one out here;

But I sure hope someone eventually gets to stubbing the Save Data transfer request.
(Data Management > Transfer Your Save Data > Send Save Data to Another Console > User > Game > Online check (presumably dauth)

PS: yeah 2 switches
1; superbanned (online / cdn)
2; ipatched

PS2: yeah im probably out of luck still ... but a man can dream right ;)

At least those games are working on my console with the same updates than yours (clean NSPs from my private CDN backup and/or personal XCI dumps for verifications to a future complete Switch dump database).
Please check your dumps on your side.

I've done some more tests with two game cards and trying some installs (with SX Installer) after that.
Results on one of my previous posts on the same page.

So it’s only installed nsp games that are effected? Does this include updates? What about custom xci with updates included?

I updated to the latest beta yesterday and had no issues. But all loaded was FFX with update installed and it was fine, I also loaded a rom forwarder nsp that I installed and that worked fine although I am still on 7.0.1

so big problem, i cant use my emutendo folder on my sd card no more because after reinstalling emunand files and moving emutendo back to the sd card my games arent showing up at all, just the stuff i had on sysnand, anybody else had this problem? edit: new problem, i think the emunand is erasing and resetting the emutendo folder, if it is, is there anyway to prevent this?

There's a post on the TX Forum saying "The sx os devs are aware and looking at it now"

just seen this and you’re right, i’m getting same issues with sx 2.7

good job i set up atmosphere as well, that works flawlessly

in fact, it may now become my primary cfw even when sx fix the issue.. we’ll see, i feel the ‘switch’ is getting closer tho.. lol

You may want to try using SX installer and reinstall the games/updates that aren’t working with the “Reinstall NCAs’ option
I heard that fixes MK11 at least
