Oh... It was never a problem then? I recall a tweet from SciresM saying cart certificates being banned...
When SX OS initially came out, several people did report having their legitimate cartridges get banned with the error code you are mentioning but as of recently, those reports have decreased. You also may not know if your cartridge is banned or not if your system is banned as I'm unsure which error code would appear first, the console or cartridge ban. But I would say its still a potential issue. Heck, even if the used cartridge isn't banned, someone could have easily bought the game, dumped the certificate/header, and returned the game which means you risk getting banned if you play that game online.

Guys I have some questions.
So what happens if my switch gets CDN banned?
I cant download my eshop games anymore? Can i even buy games?? What happens with cartige games like Doom which needs download to even start the game?
Does anybody has this problem from experience?

This thread has a full explanation on what a CN ban entails although you're very unlikely to not incur one as the main reason they were imposed was due to people abusing CDN downloading which is no longer an issue since CDN downloading is dead to the public.

Havent been on this site in years after being able to put homebrew on my 3ds but...Got a switch either beginning january or last christmas. Wanted to know if it was possible to mod it. Think I read somewhere that if a Switch was bought after july 2018 it cannot be modded. But just wanted to make sure. Thanks again

If I'm downgrading from 8.0.0 to 7.0.1, I can turn off AutoRCM since they have the same fuses right?

Depends if you burn that many fuse.

Check for sig Patches first, if you have latest patches, then reinstall the game.

You can use devmenu or hbgshop, probably corruption if your other games work.

It’s much more likely that the users copy of the game is a bad XCI conversion than that corruption magically occurred immediately after updating to a new firmware.

The firmware update is the tell. They’re either missing sig patches or their copy is bad.

Crash immediately upon launching the game, before the game even progresses past the Nintendo Switch logo = sig patches or bad XCI conversion.

Probably bad copy, hbg shop ticket menu ain't too bad , atleast you know what ticket is what, too bad both I suggested can't be link here lol.

I'm on the latest atmosphere with switch firmware 7.0.1
Should I just stay on 7.0.1 as everything is working fine on my switch and there is no need to update to 8.0.0 right?

Hey guys new user here and I got a question.
Quite a Long story
Recently updated my switch to 8.0.0 with the choi app, and I didn’t untuck anything default, so autorcm is on. I’m using sxos and I can’t get it to boot even with the autorcm method and with the dongle. It just turns into black screen. Had to hard switch off every time it does that.
How do I go on about this? What should I do to revert it back?
Can I just hard reset everything and start from scratch? I tried to do that with another sd card with dongle and jig and everything. Same result with black screen.

Thank you for reading
