Such a good description of the situation

Yeah thats true...........
I use SXOS 2.53 (FW 6.2) and retroarch 1.76.
I tried mario 64 and mario kart 64 both zipped and uncompressed, sometimes it kicks me back to xmb and sometimes black screen and i have to reboot.
I tried the nsp version of retroarch and the nro.

I was having the same issues for weeks I fixed by using atmosphere instead of sx and also doing the full memeory workaround that’s been posted many times it’s the only way I found working.

The NSP is not officially supported for N64 emulation. Please use https://gbatemp.net/threads/use-atmosphere-to-access-full-ram-with-homebrews-without-nsp.521240/ . SX OS is not officially supported aswell.

Are you using standard mupen or mupen next?

Installed the offical nsp of retroarch and changed the hbl_tid in loader.ini to this...
Everytime I start the app the console crashes by trying to load the homebrew loader... I am on 5.1.0 using the recent hekate payload...

any advices, I am trying to upgrade from 1.7.5 where I was starting retroarch by the nsp itsefl...

The nightly version does not work for 4x, because currently libnx doesn't allow me changing JIT types and I want to avoid redundant code
Patched hekate improves performance because it allows mupen to use a different API which is waaaaay faster, no memory permission transitions needed.
Lucky for you, on 4x, you don't need a patched hekate to enjoy the gains.
PM me and I give u the version that works on 4x (no patches tho, as they are not required for 4x, like I said)

Wow ! that version runs insanely, no stuttering at all, I guarantee you guys waiting is worthing.

Thanks to m4xw and team for your hard work !
