Emulanders
Skylanders NFC (Mifare) Emulation for the Nintendo Switch

Emulanders is a new open-source project for Atmosphère that enables digital emulation and archival of Skylanders figurines on the Nintendo Switch.

The Portable Archival Goal
Even though Skylanders: Imaginators already has an internal digital library for scanned figures, managing a large collection or dealing with physical portals and toys while playing on a handheld console isn't always practical. I built this tool to solve that problem for myself, aiming for a more streamlined, portable experience without the physical tether.

Technical Context
Standing on the shoulders of @XorTroll, this project uses the Emuiibo architecture as its primary scaffold. We have refactored the core logic to specialize in the Mifare stack, optimizing for system resources with RAM-based logging and on-demand asset loading.

Current State (0.9.0-beta)
The sysmodule is stable and verified on FW 21.2.0. It features a full Tesla Overlay for managing your collection, including support for subfolders and visual icons.

How to use
  1. Download the release: GitHub Link
  2. Drag and drop the folders to your SD card root.
  3. Place backups (.dump/.bin) in /emulanders/figures/.
  4. (Optional) Add .png portraits with matching filenames for visual ID.
  5. Toggle ON via the Tesla menu and select your character.

Credits
A massive thank you to @XorTroll for the Emuiibo foundation, and the Switchbrew community for the invaluable documentation.

Let's keep the magic of Skylanders alive and accessible on the Nintendo Switch!
