Yeah, it's here, sure. My crystal ball was just telling me "An OFW update is around the corner" as well. But I'm over here still waiting for that promised Gateway update from years ago you swore was coming and in no way being overshadowed by the Stargate Card. Or that there is only One True Way to use your MicroSD Card JIG according to TX...

Holy shit i think i just updated and didn't even know. My switch was dead so i plugged it into the charger 10 mins ago. I see it's coming on so i just keep pressing a to get to the menu. I remember seeing some popup that said update an tried to click backwards to go back. But in my head im thinking this is just a game update and it will tell me im banned anyway. Next thing i know my screen turns black and i can't boot back into cfw. I get a popup saying "atmosphere" can't find target firmware.


This all just happened like 5 mins ago. Wtf. Did 7.0 just release or something? And even if it did. Im already banned. How the hell did the update go through? Im on my legit switch right now and it's still on 6.2.0 and didn't get any popup to update.

Perhaps Nintendo was kind enough to remove your ban temporarily to give you a pretty nice gift. Enjoy your unban

• Contrary to popular belief, banned consoles can still download system updates granted they are not CDN banned
• As long as Internet settings are saved in the console without a custom DNS or otherwise to redirect Nintendo URLs, system updates are download automatically and cannot be disabled
• System updates aren't automatically installed; you or someone else would have had to press the update prompt if you truly updated to 7.0
• If you did update to 7.0, you can still downgrade but you won't be able to boot OFW until you update back to 7.0

Got it. Had no idea banned systems could still firmware update. Scary lol. Yea i never messed with the custom dns settings but i'll be sure to look into it now.

I can still boot into hekate so im assuming i should be able to just restore my nand backup right?

yes, restore boot0/1 as well, if you don't have those then you need to do the old method with choi (pc version)
