Things that were said. xD
Before I go on, I will say yes. The age does count toward the amount of buys. But mainly the age of release. I don't LIKE that fact, games like Super Metroid should STILL be full priced from how amazing it is... But whatever, right?
I have not seen much feedback... Not really into what people say about something. Many times people have bad opinions from my interest. A good example is someone playing Fortnite over a game that I like... Makes no sense to me, but that is why. So no, I have not seen it. But I can definitely understand you concern on the matter. A good example is Super Mario Run: Nintendo never made a phone game. Why would they? They have their OWN CONSOLE. But sadly, they were losing money and want to find more and new ways to stack the dough up... So sometimes this means their quality of products falls short because apparently people don't like the good things they HAVE done. So pretend Nintendo started acting like EA (No I won't explain what acting like EA means.) and people were praising them for it, I understand they will continue to act like EA and for people like myself, that's a problem when people praise them for wrongdoing...
Now I see what you mean about the content thingy.
I'm afraid you're wrong. Less dimensions in video game perspective does not mean less effort or work.
It, for example, could easily take a year to make P.T. for a few months for a full game working at the same speed and the same amount of workers on the job. One is a physically smaller game than the other but it does not mean it will be shorter to make.
When you are tasked with one thing, their are JUST AS MANY dependencies to making it done well than if you are tasked with another. Some things people are good and efficient at while others they may not be. One less dimension does not mean one less thing to worry about. It simply means the type of video game you are creating is completely different and a different set of challenges await.
QUICK EDIT: Nabbit is there for people who find the game challenging or just don't want to deal with certain aspects of the game. Pretend this game MUST be played with 2 controllers. Like 4 Joycons. You MUST control two characters at once and you CANNOT use two people as that is not the intended gameplay style. That sounds bogus, but pretend that was the case. Then you go play as Nabbit because that is the only character you need 2 joy cons for, for us we know that would make more sense but we also find that WAY MORE FUN. Some people may think the game is super fun but too many enemies and they just want to jump over holes and stuff and find the enemies to take the fun out of the game. Some people may just want to get ONE QUICK Star Coins but it is too hard so just quickly get it done and over with. And some people the game may literally be THAT HARD where they really can't progress without Nabbit....
