oh please you make this place sound like a Government booth where i have to go through dozen of people in order to get a bloody sign or stamp, i am on Topic and was writing about what was working before using the Dynaric core, if this was a release info, go and Disable comments instead of wasting my time with your lecture.

made a link to keep track of it, until a new update is released to see if they are working again
i saw that in General most Japanese Region Games don't run anymore, almost all of them.
i have test 30+ plus games, what i wrote in this list is what i am interested in Playing with Full compatibility, i could update it or someone wants to make a post and we all contribute.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1I8x_F8DMi8zxb1eHa5d6vvnnP3O8UrC0woKP9gGn3xc/edit?usp=sharing

i honestly want these run again and was hoping the Author or Liberto Crew would see it and check what changed
Bakuretsu Muteki Bangai-O (J) Black Screen [Worked on Nightly Build] 1581MHz [runs on early Nightly Builds]
Jet Force Gemini - Trainer and Co-Op Patch Runs Perfect but Screen is Flickering 1581MHz [runs on early Nightly Builds]
Jet Force Gemini or ED64 Patched Black Screen + CFW Fatal Error 1581MHz
Sin and Punishment - Successor of the Earth Black Screen + CFW Fatal Error 1581MHz [runs on early Nightly Builds]
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) Black Screen + Retroarch Error 1581MHz [runs on early Nightly Builds]
Super Robot Spirits (J) Black Screen after Intro 1581MHz [runs on early Nightly Builds]
Last Legion UX (J) [T-Eng] Black Screen + Retroarch Error 1581MHz (only runs on PC Project64 or mupen64PLus-Retroarch)

- was also wondering why some games run Full screen and some don't (of course you can make them go full with Custom) and no i am not talking about adding patches or game shark codes, example F-zero isn't full screen but almost all Rare games are full screen etc.

- now if someone want to help answer me by PM how to place the .HTC THi-Rez Texture pack files and make them run that would be appreciated
Wat the actual fuck.
Some games are simply not supported - stick to interpreter with them.
There is a reason why dynamic_recompiler is disabled by default.
Also texture filtering / hi res packs are not supported (literally not implemented for libnx) and will lead to all kinds of different issues.
Stay away from that for now.
Also Dk64 runs fine for example (including camera bug), check your configs.

Thank you for the answer

Still i was playing Bangai-o and Super robot spirits with slowdowns before downloading the Dynaric, just needed to know why it gives black screen now

someone here mentioned he was using Hi-Rez Textures therefore i kept asking how he did it

Because you enabled it?
Turn it off again for those ROM's lol
Or be patient, sometimes it just takes a while

Thanks for the help, m4xw, and for all you do!

I put the settings you included in the cfg, and it’s better, but still so much stuttering.

Do I need to overclock? Is overclocking basically required?

Edit: Yow, DKR is utterly unplayable! Constant stuttering, running super slow.

What am I doing wrong? How is everyone else having so much success?

i see F-zero x Usa works great
but when i try to load the Expansion Kit which is from japan region it doesn't work

will we be able to run it in the future or should just i stick to Android and PC to play it, its the reason i am using Retroarch.....have 10 Modded Roms with tracks....

because as far as i know, you are the only person who can share info on compatibility list or workarounds, much appreciated...i want to create F-Zero tracks on the go! :yayswitch:

*i had a none working DK64 Rom from Everdrive 64 releases, other version worked+with your workaround!

Hate to bump a q but lets say i have no eshop access can i use an nsp of pokemon quest to load hbmenu for full ram access or would that not work?

Also i see conflicting posts. Should we have threaded video on or off? Any other settings people can recommend or share?

So far for me using retroarch nsp and sxos or atmosphere the performance for mario 64 seems to have lessened with the dynarec on. I dont understand. Whereas a title like star fox is somewhat playable so im looking for any pointers or suggestions. I even tried making the retroarch nsp xci

Since I don't have much info about eShop NSP, let's go to the other questions.

Use Threaded video off with dynarec since with it on it will increase the video stutter due to code recompilation increase.

Also, check the configuration present with the downloaded files. Don't use framebuffer, high resolution textures or texture filtering for example. Don't get resolutions above 720p as well (you can, but it may not since it will introduce more stutter).
The dynarec is way faster than interpreter if you configure it right. Otherwise, it won't.

Is this the version to use (linked under the video) vs the one in OP? How is this different? Is it using dynarec?

His version should be from the same commit as OP. He's using dynarec as well. If you have problems, check the configuration file that comes with the download.

I tried both. I assume then the real difference is the config, although Mr. Homebrew's version (linked with the video) has different UI and no other UI options than the one m4xw linked.

Strangely the Mr. Homebrew one runs much better for me than the one m4xw linked with the config txt file, which surprises me.

Should overclocking be necessary, or does it not make much difference?

While on the topic of custom configurations, I can save new configuration files i.e. mupen64plus_libretro_libnx.cfg, but when I try to load one it just defaults back to retroarch.cfg instead.

Anybody else having this issue?

i think i am going to make a tut about this cause this is uh tricky yeah tricky tricky

so you CAN use an nsp eshop no prob so eshop not necessary to make the homebrew channel link for atmosphere

now lets see if there is a difference

A tutorial would be great, with links to the necessary files and configs. You'd make me a happy camper!
