Still on 4.0.1. which my switch came with. Is there any reason not to update if SX OS is compatible with any firmware? If not, what is the best way to safely update?
really?Go for firmware 5.1.0 at least for better ExFAT compatibility.
new games still won't run even if you install using ignore firmwareI will try choidujournx, but if I don't care about online, then can I stay on 4.1.0 and play games requiring higher firmware by disabling or bypassing the update?
exFAT is not a firmware-specific problem; corruption is due to Nintendo's sloppy implementation of exFAT. No firmware has more or less corruption than any other aside from 1.0 which does not support exFAT.I think I recall Rei, developer of ReiNX, claiming that it's on the Switch's side why some micro-SD Cards gets corrupted when formatted to ExFAT. I cannot recall the statement exactly, but the thought is that the Switch past firmware 5.1.0 is faulty towards ExFAT micro-SD Cards.

Yes since we can now do everything with FAT32 except restore the NAND.So its fat32 is a more stable solution CFW on the switch i guess?
