Hi All,
Its been a month since my switch is stuck in the boot logo.

Switch details:
  1. OFW version - 5.5
  2. was on SX OS when the switch froze during gameplay
  3. I don't have the NAND backup :(

How it happened:
I was using SX OS and playing pokemon game in handheld mode. The game/console froze probably due to overheating of switch. I pressed power button for 12 seconds for hard reset and when i Powered on, its been stuck in the logo.

What I have tried so far:
  1. Saw multiple youtube videos where they asked to drian the battery and let it be for a week. DID not work.
  2. When I insert the SX OS Dongle - I am able to see the SX OS screen where I can select CFW, OFW and other options; once the selection is done the switch never goes past the boot logo

Please help as I am literally out of ideas on what to do.
I went to the Nintendo service center but they refused to service the switch (even after offering extra money) as this is a Japanese version and they do not repair out of region consoles:(

Were you using a third party charger?

I don't think there is a firmware version 5.5 the latest 5.something was 5.1 then is went to 6-.

Thanks a lot. Quite new to the scene so will need to figure it out.
Once I rebuild Nand - are there specific steps I need to follow?
I was also told that this could be a IC issue or something else...
Get bis keys
Backup boot0/boot1/prodinfo/prodinfof
Rebuild nand with firmware you are currently on.

Why you didn't dumped your nand on first place?
ALWAYS WHEN YOU HACK YOUR SWITCH, YOU HAVE TO DUMP YOUR NAND

WHY TF DO PEOPLE STILL USE SX OS
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS
IT HAS HAPPENED TO OTHER PEOPLE BEFORE
You sir, are, (and I hate to be rude) an idiot.

This can happen on any CFW, any NAND, any OFW.

The first point of call would be to establish if the NAND is seated correctly. If you are using an umbilical from the NAND to power a modchip, consider changing the point to another.

Then get your bis keys... Double-check them in hacdiskmount
Backup boot0/1/prodinfo/prodinfof

Rebuild NAND (just do a choidujour upgrade/downgrade/same fw version

See what happens then.
