Hmm, I'd be impressed if anyone makes an XTX converter.
This scene is the laziest I have been in when it comes to graphics; no one made tools for BNTX and XTX except for me, even though those two formats are widely used.
Someone who wrote one of the other nes online tools, that currently uses an nvidia exe (not the one from the sdk) for conversion to xtx, said they're planning to recode that part themselves, which is cool as it will make it crossplatform. Where can we find your xtx tool?

Oh, you mean the guy who just literally copied my tool without giving credits?

Anyhow, you can find my tool here. It's fairly old and no longer supported as I lost interest.

The issue is the SDK uses a slightly different version or different settings because using your tool / the one that guy copied messes up the photos. This is the case for both extracting and creating the xtx files. You could somewhat make out what the photo was but pixels were all moved around. Once I got my hands on the SDK version all my issues went away.

Notice how I said the tool is old. :)
I know exactly what's wrong but I have no plans to update it.

The format has been documented for over a year and no one has yet to make a new tool:

Any chance of this NOT requiring layeredFS? How does the official package from nintendo not require it if its structured the same way?

WIP, coming soon.
LOL. Well, thanks anyway for the foundation. Maybe I'll take a look at it when I've got a little free time. Seems mostly to be an issue with color channels being swapped per your comment in the Issue tracker and what the image ends up looking like.

Hello, thanks for the tool I will try it, I have a couple of question about the

Required
  • NvnTexpkg.package (Where exactly do I get this file?)
  • An NES game (.nes) (Does this work with any file (.nes) I found on the internet?)
  • Two PNG / JPG or TGA 32 bit cover files with the size 400x400 and 355x512 (Can I use paint?)
  • Your "lclassics.titlesdb" file (EU/US or JP version) (Where exactly do I get this file?)
Thanks for your time...!!!

Firstly well done on your nes injector programme.

I understand i need to add to covers and can use paint.
Game path is where the rom is stored yes?
Where do i find title db please?
It also asks me to enter the game code. Is there a list i can find this?

About online verification, what happens if the check is done with the year 2040 and then disconnect the console and correct the date, even then you will have to do another verification after 7 days?
