I'll let you have the script once I finish the duelist slot 1 characters.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

TF6

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

You don't want to see Jaime and Mimicry and that bitch Kami who's constantly touting her father's affluence?
Slot 1 and 2 characters I can guarantee, but only my chosen favorites from slot 3 will get done. Most of slot 3 characters' stories are generic as fuck and not worth the time.

I've just signed to say thank you for working on this, Tag Force 6 is one of, if not the, best YuGiOh game to me. But i feel like the stories would actually be pretty cool to read, and it would boost the games fun-factor quite a bit.
Is there a chance some of the antagonists are on your to do list? i really wonder how they've implemented them story wise when you team up with them.

Anyways, thank you so much for your effort, i am really looking forward to see the first story translated(!) C:

Ah ah ah I have no problem at all to trust you about that! Only the slot 1 and 2 charaters really matter after all.
To tell the truth, I started to learn japanese since the beginning of this month to be able to understand, speak, and read japanese since I was quite frustrated to see that this game is still not fully translated... x)
Everyone should learn Japanese. Except for the slang that is used a lot in anime, it's not that hard of a language to learn grammatically. True, there's a fuck-ton of kanji, but constant exposure to it in japanese text documents will help with memorizing them.

With regards to the story, maybe I could help a bit depending on my time. I studied a bit of Japanese while in college. I can't assure 100% but I will try. Hope you saw this!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also, does anyone have the TF6 Patcher? I would like to play the latest version of the translation without using 30fps cheat code.
I can baseline your skills with this. It's Ushio's 1st and 2nd story from TF6. I've already translated it, but it'll give you a chance to see what the typical tag force character requires when translating. Most of the characters use a lot of slang; Ushio is one of them.

I suggest using the EBOOT file that I created. I've completely revamped the game since Omarrrio and I went our own ways, but I'm not handing out all of the most recent advancements I've made just yet.

I'll be deleting both files in a few weeks.

I'll do all of Duelist Slot 1 and Duelist Slot 2 characters and some of Duelist Slot 3 characters.

I'm not going to make a tutorial for how to use my tools, but I'll give you the text files that you can use to translate. Once you're finished, send the files back to me and I'll remake the ISO using your spanish files. You do realize that it's going to take you years (assuming you're doing it by yourself like me) to translate everything from English to Spanish, right?

@Screw_the_Rules : if you need some help to translate dialoguesto save some time and energy, there was some guys on the previous pages that wanted to help if I'm not mistaken. Maybe you can contact them to see if they still want to do it. They could probably give you a hand!

I already contacted him, but never got a reply back as you can see in my response above. It's fine, whenever I show them the caliber of what's required, they always back out. I always do the courtesy of showing them what they would have to face, but I'm never shocked that I never hear from them again.

Well... This is too bad.
Do some people who worked on the Tag Force Special translation could help you, even a little? If they did, this would be more confortable for you. I opened the file with all the dialogues and it's true that's this is huge.

TFSP was just me and Omarrrio. Omarrrio did the programming and I did the translation, but it doesn't matter. Being by myself makes it easier to keep track of what's still left to be done.

@Screw_the_Rules Sorry if I replied just now, I was busy with some family matters such as my grandpa being ill.
I tried the eboot.bin that you gave me just now and I noticed an oddity. The pack lists are still in Japanese. Do you have another eboot.bin for this?
Regarding with the translation, I'll try my best to translate them. I how you saw this @Screw_the_Rules .

It's not an oddity, I just overlooked that part, but it doesn't take away from the game (and obviously you already know that it says Expert Monsters), so I'll get to it when I have the chance.
TF3 had the booster pack names hidden in the EBOOT, but TF6 has the SHOP file with the booster pack titles. Why the booster pack names for the "Pack List" screen aren't referenced from the SHOP file is beyond me. But it's a simple fix that requires lots of re-scanning and revamping my old code.
Hopefully people appreciate the tens of thousands of lines of code I've had to write to perform open heart surgery on this game and all the other tag forces.

I know I'll appreciate it! I've wanted to properly play TF6 since it came out, and you making it possible means a lot. The work you've done is amazing, especially for such a large game (and series!). I can't thank you enough for even just promising to share this game with the western community :P

Yes I understand. By the way, thank you for all the jokes you put in TFSP's translation. I had a lot of fun while reading some dialogues like the ending of Jack Atlas... xD
I don't know if it would be a good thing in this one (probably not since the ending of 5D's is serious, and maybe they already put some jokes in some original dialogues of this game), but in the TFSP it was awesome! Thanks a lot for all the funny references you put like haga and yugi's exodia cards on the boat!

i can only imagine how much time and energy you've invested in this, and i am very grateful for what we've got so far. I will be freaking out when you release the TF 6 .iso, i really never expected to see even one or two of the stories fully translated. When i stumbled over this thread and read that you are actually still working on it and that you will do this much i felt the urge to cheer a bit.

TF6 is much more serious, so there are fewer funny things in the stories, but I can assure you that in order to keep the overworld dialogue from being stale, I spiced up each character to make them sound like how they would from the anime.

Right now I'm taking care of all the Dark Signers' stories. Although it seems like only Rudger has a full actual story, the rest of them sort of backpack off of Rudger (except for Rex obviously, since he's a Duelist Slot 1 character).

I can't guarantee that it will work on the PSP, since I had so many people complain about having issues with TFSP. I only use PPSSPP cause it's so much easier to hack and translate from. I'm hoping around summer of 2019 I can do the full release. I don't want to piece-meal release it like Omarrrio and I did back in the day. I'm just not looking forward to working on Team Taiyo and Unicorn. I already previewed their dialogue and they are pretty fucking boring. Team Ragnarok proved to be much more of an enjoyable experience. Even after translating their stories, why Rex and Rudger did what they did in the anime still makes no fucking sense.

Yes Indeed. And this is great since 5D's have a good story (season 3/4 have some borring filer episodes, but the general story is really good). If you respect the original dialogues it's perfect (I tried to see some episode in french version for exemple but it was so stupid... I was unable to stop laughing when I saw all the dialogue changes, the voices chosen for each characters etc. The Original Version is the best). After all, we are just looking for a simple translation of the story mode, what should have been done from the beginning (thank you konami... >_>). I think that simply translating the story is easier that changing some dialogues to implement references or jokes anyway.
If you are already translating dark signers's stories, then you're close to the end isn't it, since, if I'm not mistaken, they are at the bottom of the list in the second slots of characters?
Ps : I had personnaly no issue while playing at TFSP iso on my psp. I didn't no people had issue with it.

Well i've downloaded PPSSPP and tried TF6 on it, works very well and i am quite happy that i can play it translated there. :)

It's very nice to hear Team Ragnarok has nice dialogues, i very much prefer it's members over the other 2 teams. Can you tell me anything about the quality of the Darksiders' Dialogues?

I've only done Rex's, Rudger's and Demak's so far, but I think I'm seeing a trend. Rudger's is very detailed and it is parallel to Rex's story. Rex is revived and tries to right the wrongs of his past by saving all of the Signers from the revived Dark Signers without the Signers ever noticing him. Rudger is the exact opposite. He's revived to destroy the Signers once and for all and run's into Rex near the end of his story and tries to prove why Momentum is his greatest accomplishment. Demak spends every story sucking Rudger's dick pretty much and the rest I'll leave as a secret until I release the game. No need to spoil it all at once.

Translating literally is boring because the characters only have so much room to say what they mean, unlike the anime where they can speak faster than Konami can write. So Konami kept much of their dialogue short and standard, which doesn't sit well with me when we're talking about characters I love like Yusei and Jack. When you "Accept Partnership", nearly all of them say the same thing, "Alright, where to now?" which is not what Jack Atlas or Rex Godwin would say, so I give them their own unique response. If Konami wanted to give their loyal fans a regular translation of their game, they would've, but since they didn't, they gave you me instead.
