How i install SRloader in a R4 SDHC Dual Core?

Some questions regarding updates:
I'm on DSiMenu++ v6.0.0 (Old 3DS), the cia version. Can i just update directly to v6.1.1 or do i have to firstly update to v6.1.0?
Also, i like using FTP to transfer files to my 3DS. I don't like to keep messing with my SD card, so can i overwrite the file "BOOT.NDS" and the folder "_nds" using FTP? Would make the process much quicker than turning the console off and taking the SD card to my USB adapter.

Another little question:
I'm having trouble setting a background image for the DSi Menu on DSiMenu++. I can put covers, but that image below don't appear. I put the image of the right size named "photo.png", but nothing shows.

You can just go straight to the latest one.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

Just started trying to get ds games to work from sd card on 3ds for the first time today. I started with TWLoader, but then read this is the newer one. I don't quite understand the benefits of this over TWLoader. The interface of this seems older and slower than TWLoader. Are the only benefits you don't need a donor game?

I was thinking at first this might allow ds games right on the main menu with 3ds games but that doesn't seem to be the case.

DSiMenu++ supports the latest nds-bootstrap, with more options to choose from. And yes, you don't need a donor.
Also, DSiMenu++ is a near-identical recreation of the original DSi Menu. You can chose a custom image to display on the top screen of the DSi Menu theme.
You can also pick a theme to use for the Acekard theme.

• Overwrite the "_nds" folder and "boot.nds" file on the SD root, with the new ones from the .7z file.

What's new?

• The async prefetch option has been replaced with a DS/DSi mode option, introduced in nds-bootstrap v0.12.0 (included with this release).
• nds-bootstrap version is now displayed in the settings screen.

Bug fix

• Fixed .nds DSiWare being launched on 3DS, as they do not work.

If it's already AP-patched, then wait for a fix on nds-bootstrap's side.

Put it on the SD card. There's more features to use there.

Well I really only want this to play portrait of ruin lol, but the fact I can put more dsi ware games in my system is kinda cool
