It's mentioned within the thread already, once you know a launch configuration works, you can enable autoboot for it from the config menu (2nd menu option->autoboot)
Then holding VOL- cancels autoboot while logo is shown

Hi @rajkosto

Just wanted to say thanks for the effortless approach. Took me no time to launch everything. I do have one issue, it looks like I can’t run my legit games? I have a Zelda game cart inserted but I keep getting an error along the lines of invalid game cart.

What could be causing that?

Thanks Again!

Ok thanks. I’m very new to this and I chose that as a boot option. So it’s ok to remove this if I only plan to play legit carts and installed NSPs?
If you're on a newer firmware than what you started, and you upgraded with ChoiDujourNX to save your fuses, turning PreventGCUpdate off will kill your gamecart reader for any firmware lower than what you're currently on.

If you are okay with not using the gamecart on lower firmwares, then that is your decision.

Well I updated from 4.1.0 through stock OS, don’t really care about downgrading. Seems the answer for me is to disable it.

Thanks for the answers!

EDIT: actually , I just saw that a new version of 4nxci was just released that is supposed to work with rajnx or any other custom firmware. You may want to try reconverting an xci with the newest release and see if that works.
Hey DFR, thanks for the tip. Just tested the new 4nxci and you're right, it works. Though I'll also give "Bob's cdnsp gui" a try also. Cheers!

Believe me, you're wasting your time with this so called Switch scene.
Most of the people and devs here are just a bunch of 10 years old children with over inflated egos spending their time feeding dramas...
I'm pretty sure none of them do know you, where I can clearly remember you from the good old Wii days and everything you've contributed to.
I was part of the WiiFlow team at that time, and I truly wish the Switch scene could be as to what the Wii scene was, with devs from different USBLoaders helping each others bringing new features to their respective loaders.
But I've been lurking this section for a long time now and I can clearly see it will never happen sadly...
GBATemp has become just a giant kindergarten over the years.

PS: yeah, I know I'm OT but I really don't care ;-)
Congraulations on your humblebrag.
I disagree with everything you said (except for the OT part).

I tried ftpd (newest and one older version) but during file transfer I get error message and switch crashes. Now I read I should try with module sys-ftpd. My knowledge is limited, as of my understanding I need the files pm.kip (to grant ftpd access to more memory) and sysftpd.kip....
But where do I place these files? And do I have to do anything else or does ftpd run in background? Also I'm interested which transfer speeds are possible, before crashing via ftpd I saw just 3-4 MB/s :/ both via wifi and ethernet adapter. Shouldn't the switch be capable of waaay more? I know the transfer speed of the usb-c port is limited due to software (hope this changes with atmossphere cfw) but 20 mb/s should be possible or am I missing sth. here?

I believe this may have been left out because using it with certain homebrew will corrupt your SD Card.

I would recommend just using the FTP Homebrew App.
That's what I tried and as stated the console crashes after some time in the middle of a file transfer, I'll try it again and will provide the specific errorcode. I tried v2.2.0-1bebc658 and v2.2.0-e627691c both crash.

Ps: I'd take any way to copy stuff to my sd card without turning the switch off every time and putting the sd card into my pc. For now I only heard of ftp, maybe there is smb,scp or sth else avaiable?

You can avoid taking your SD Card out but you will have to power down the console, you can do so using memloader.bin or TegraRcmGUI-- this method's speeds will cap out at around 5MB/s.

FTP's cap speeds are between 5MB/s ~ 600kb/s, depending on if it's been updated fully.

I still guarantee that mounting the SD Card with your PC is (and will be) the fastest transfer method available, as then if you use a USB3.0 USB Adapter, you can get nearly 80MB/s+ transfer speeds.

But as of yet, the FTP methods are particularly unstable and lead to crashes, especially for me.

Thx for the hint, didn't notice that TegraRcmGui has an option to transfer files. It's better than nothing.
For transfering large files I'll mount the sd card with my pc, I'm just searching for a convenient way to tranfer smaller homebrew/cfw stuff.

This is indeed the best and easy to use CFW right now. Included tinfoil is relatively straightforward to use as well. This + Choi and you are all set! Many thanks to raj.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
