Quick tip: If you do anything that a non-CFW user can't do, it could have consequences. Just follow those lines without sacrifincing what you want (e.g. custom themes, free games...) and both your console and you will probably be ok.

Hey guys wondering if one of you could help me . I basically was given an o3ds with v4.4 . I tried using soundhx with it to no avail .( tried the guide used the pre9otherapp and normal otherapp )each and nothing same systvcv I believe ? Only thing I can think of is upgrading it up somewhat unless there’s another software only based hack I could use ? Any help appreciated

It's probable that your console was updated through a cartridge and has an incompatible version of Nintendo 3DS Sound.

I don't think updating through a cartridge would solve anything. I'd try a browser exploit or another method, like through DSiWare or ntrboot.

We can tell whether it was updated from a cartridge if you tell us your full version.
Is that the best way as of right now? And is it (pretty) safe and better compared to TWLoader and will it damage anything in my SD card?

TWLoader had the same devs as this, but it got discontinued, so naturally DSiMenu++ is better and will continue to improve.
If it were going to damage your stuff, people would not recommend / use the app.
By the way, for those of us who had the thread appear shuffled, it is fixed for me on this latest page (2344).

For 3DS games use freeShop - there's a mini guide in the OP of this thread. For DS roms as lone wolf says, we can't link them - you'll need to google (it shouldn't be hard to find some).
@Quantumcat i forgot to ask but is there another way to get the otp on this 2ds xl.? i cant get it to dump the otp like it says to do in the 3ds guide site. been trying on and after since i got it on cfw. and it is the only thing i cant get done. is there another way? this has been annoying.

Did you check your SD card and read what it says? You wont get a prompt that it dumps those files.
i recently traded a Wii i modded for a Electric Blue 2DS with the built in Mario Kart 7, is https://3ds.hacks.guide still be the best guide to mod the 2DS? the electric blue 2DS is to be considered Old 2DS as per the diagram i take it? Any pointers before i start?
