So, does this affect the inevitable release of deja vu?
I would argue no since Deja Vu is reserved for Mariko Switch units. If they release it now, Nintendo can patch it out in the next firmware update and launch those firmwares with Mariko units. This is because Deja Vu has not been fully patched out yet in 5.X as of now.

People had enough time to get a hackable Switch, it has been how many months? :P Plus, the chances of getting a hack proof Switch must be like 5%? There are still a ton of old Switches out there.

Just buy from Walmart or Gamestop, if you plan to buy a Switch in the US. If your Switch is hackproof, return it, and claim the joycons desync(I'm sure they had Switches returned before over that issue), the employee probably won't even bother checking, esp at Walmart.

It takes longer for freshly manufactured systems to reach the US/Eur than Japan, but I wouldn't doodle around. The Switch sells fast - shelves over here could be full of unhackables by summer's end.

Wonder if there's any way to tell an ipatched unit apart from the normal ones before opening the box.

Nintendo intended this to clear up the first batch (hackable console = more sales):)
The next step of the plan is to ban those and have people buy the new revision.

Well at least the bans will stop now.
It might actually be a good idea to get a Mariko unit for online playing...
Why do imagine the bans will stop? I imagine there will still be people out there using hacked systems with hacks that can be detected, and they have little incentive to stop banning otherwise.

That was a heck of a lot faster than I expected. I wonder if the TX thing pushed the timelines some, I am sure another bug will be found in the bootrom (if it has not already) because it seems to be needlessly complex.

Let the games continue, it is the second round as of now. :-D

Show us !!! We what profit. No Twitter shit. A video

We are basing this of user reports, I have personally had two people asking me to help them with new Switches and its been impossible to get the payloads to work, thus they must be patched, several others have also reported this.
