No matter what you do it seems better to stay on lower fw for now because of 5.x.x telemetry

I wad just told in a discord, that all bans they have heard of were in NA location wise (not console). There are some people in the EU making it obvious that they are hacking in many ways and it would help a lot if you could add a question for location (Geographically).

I'm not seeing that pattern. If I had to gamble I'd say the 2 things causing the bans are manipulation of logs and dodgy certs.

The people who haven't used backups seem to have either cleared their logs or they had errors of some kind.

It's the logs I'm 60% sure

I've already stated my case once against geographical data (i.e. spoofing location, independent variable, is neither safe/unsafe) and something tells me there were non-Americans hit by this banwave, but as long as people don't treat region as either safe or unsafe, then I will allow it. It is purely for data-collection purposes only and not to be used as a point of reference with regards to safety. If I see someone misusing that data to make themselves safer and inadvertently gets banned, I will remove the category.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it won't be color coated except for those in the US. Its basically a nice double-entendre.

It literally took me one person to find a non-US banned case and it just so happens he was banned today. His name is NightStorm1000, did not use LayeredFS but SX OS, and most importantly is from Austria. So I repeat, region is not safe or unsafe when it comes to bans. I will allow it as an extra harmless statistic until proven otherwise.

Its already been confirmed you can but there is a chance they could revoke all access if they see a banned console/account still making requests

Additional Comments: I crashed with the Solarus game once and never deleted my logs (idk how) and now I'm seriously worried of geting banned. Only used homebrew online to get homebrew apps (kind of an idiot move when I think of it now). If I ever get banned, guess I deserved it, but I'll still hope for a method to get unbanned.

I wouldn't from the call I made to ninty it's gonna be temporary ban only .The only were able to tell me I possibly did something fraudulent but couldn't figure out what it was

Edit: this is why I think my ban was cleared logs no one else is banned yet from updating backups

I have another user who called Nintendo and has been pushing up the chain of command to get himself unbanned but no such luck. I suppose it depends on the offence but regardless, until they lift the ban, its assumed to be permanent.

I think like the Wii if we flood them with doubt they'll lift all of them .

People are free to try to unban themselves and report their results. It'll still be on a case-to-case basis as some users probably did something more questionable (piracy/cheating) than other people (emulators/save dumping). In any case, there is no harm in trying but I do not wish to instill false hope, at least not without refutable evidence.

Thx for info! So it doesnt matter for now. Banned people enjoy all games We just need to wait xci or nca installer! (And of course some heros )

At this point, we have a way to install .NSP. All we are really missing is a CFW that blocks/skips signature checks. Then we would Freeshop, just without Nintendo's Internet access.
