Before everyone jumps to conclusions thinking this is a scam. Remember they've done this stuff before with the Xbox and Xbox 360 (but probably not as much demand). I'd just wait it out!

the lack of communication and seemingly silent delay of SX OS ( up until few days ago it was 15th of june, now nobody knows ), ill just wait a week or 2 for free alternatives to mature.

It is all about the Pro. Always has been. Fortunately we know that's actually coming.

The part you quoted from the FAQ was like two weeks ago. Then four days ago they confirmed that the OS will launch on the 15th.. Which should mean that reviewers got their shit together and all is ready.

And again, we're talking about the OS here.. Nothing to do with shipping or vendors. Just a click of a few buttons.

I see that. As I stated above, I went to their activation website and it still says coming soon. They failed to launch as they stated they would.

I think the mistake they have made is thinking their the only ones who can do back up loading on the Switch, they should of released on the 15th instead of holding out.
It's obvious they don't want people to either cancel orders for Pro or their scared of the software getting copied/cracked that's why we won't see OS getting unlocked until people have the Pro's in hand.

This will all be irrelevant in a couple of months anyway as I'm sure free alternatives will be far superior.

I voted cancel but I didn't order it. I was really close to, but just before pre-orders opened I saw enough information to see how it's going to be another Gateway. But this time the exploit is public and devs are hard at work making a CFW.

Another issue I found is how little attention TX is giving to potential bans. Almost no disclaimers about the really high probability of a ban. In my opinion they are trying to sell as much product as possible before the CFW and bans happen.

I do give them props on the price and the dongle/jig though, it looks really good and at a reasonable price. They could sell those once CFW alternatives take over, but then Aliexpress will clone the shit out of it and sell for cheaper.

well i guess it depends how you want to define launch. From the actual quote I take it to mean that's when they're shipping it out and since today is the 16th and is not unlocked yet I have to conclude that that's what they meant by that.

Even if was cracked it will not be released because the devs that seem to be able to do this dont condone piracy so for sure they wont release this.
