What is the culprit for the sleep bug? Is that something that could be fixed any day now? Having sleep mode working again would be awesome.

I understand completely that this is by no means “safe”, however I am an end user, and i am worried that eventually my jig will screw up the joycon port the more and more I use it, so I love this tool. With this tool, would i have a “Fairly safe chance” that it doesn’t screw up, and my switch can be un-fucked easily?

Edit: you may want to link to this wonderful explanation: https://gbatemp.net/threads/bricking-your-switch-on-purpose-or-how-autorcm-works.504658/

well you dont need the paperclip anymore after you install this, but you will need it again if you decide to uninstall it, so, your choice.

it works if what you bricked with is the same tool.
and besides, you are stuck in perma-RCM, you can ALWAYS recover if you have backups

And that backup would be your RawNand(.bin)?
Note: Do we even have a way to recover from bricks with a backup yet? or can we only make backups?

And what would happen if the unbrick process didn’t work? bad things?

It will work if you do it the exact same way you installed the AutoRCM. It's a lot safer for your switch than continuously rubbing pins with a paperclip/jig, considering the pins on my switch don't even look the same after a couple days of using a paperclip.

BTW reading you two go back and forth with your profile pics is hilarious :rofl2:

Same way it is activated. There's a different button you press to uninstall it.
I have it activated, I was in the normal mode (normal firmware) of the Switch, I put it in sleep mode (standby mode) and the next day I turn it on and I receive a black screen, I connected it to the computer (obviously, it was in rcm mode) and it did not work, I tried turning off the console, leaving this way to re-enter and nothing

As expected, an implementation of AutoRCM has been merged into the latest version of Hekate. It would be best of users stuck to a specific implementation of this setup in order to avoid the possibility of not being able to revert your changes!
