The latest addition to Soulcalibur VI's roster has been revealed. Yoshimitsu is the next character to be added to the game, and has been a series mainstay, since his introduction in the second entry in the Soul fighting game franchise. Yoshimitsu's character itself originates from a different Bandai Namco fighting game series--Tekken. You can see how the character plays in the above trailer.

Soulcalibur VI is slated for release this year, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

One of the best Yoshimitsu designs out there.

This character came from tekken isnt it? I havent played tekken in ages but when i was a child, that was my favorite character with that pumpin while sitting attack. I kicked my older brothers and cousins ass with that attack alone.

A few points of correction:

• Yoshimitsu did not appear until the second game (Soul Edge/Soul Blade was the first, SoulCalibur was the 2nd)
• While the SoulCalibur Yoshimitsu is inspired by the Tekken Yoshimitsu, they are two separate individuals. The SoulCalibur one is Yoshimitsu The First (and Yoshimitsu the 2nd in SCV, but we don't talk about that)

I always assumed it was the same Yoshimitsu he was just a crossover character pour some in the game exclamation like demon powers allow him to transfer through dimensions
