Haha. :)

My speculation goes the other way around. ;)

(Dongle is the payload pusher, Tool is the jig; No USB cable whatsoever) In brackets, because thats not that important to understand their concept - if they say, that they also can sell "CFW only" at which point all dongles and tools would only be a "one time only affair".

Also I don't mind buying "their" tools, if their are "good" - but buying their CFW...? (= chaining yourself together with the fait of the company for worse for ware - is a different thing. What ever they install "semi-permanently" on the switch they would now be responsible to "service" for the entirety of the Switches lifetime, regardless of what Nintendo does. )

Thats "interesting". As in "definitely wait and see on that one...".
maybe it is like this
their OS is locked to only one console
if you have more than one switch then you can just buy another license for the your second switch and you can use the dongle
on both of them , so if you have more than one console they can make more money off you for another license but they won't make you buy more hardware for the second switch
i remember when we 1st got CIA install with GW FW
i installed it and a bunch of games on a friends console and as long as he didn't power off the console he could play with no GW card ,he just needed me to reboot

people could do the same thing with the switch and their dongle

...i have no words

Have you seen the cost of 3DS flashcarts?
This is a brand new, first of it's kind hacking product for the Switch, and they are only charging 26USD. Seriously that's more than fair, in fact they could have pulled a Gateway or Sky3DS and charged over 100$ at launch, but they didn't

It's not $26 you lemons. It's $40 to the general public, $26 if you buy 20+.

Price was previously rumored to be $29.99 (for the end user) then add in shipping, and taxes if you have them because now you'll be going through a local distributor, and suddenly you're looking at $50 for the end user.

So I'll say it again, more expensive than* expected.
