The process showed in the video is that the way you have to boot the Switch every time or just first time? It doesn't feel to annoying to plug a usb thing and then start the switch...

Please someone explain all this to me I just see a lot of whining but Im not sure what people are whining about isnt this what "we all waited for" ?

I am 100% sure there are coldboot exploits that both ReSwitched and Xecuter have.
Atmosphere is made for custom sysmodules and reimplementation of things (which the end user does not care about, but needs), while Xecuter is playing to a market of people who don't know how to install an app with an apk file, and buy Xecuter products because "muh piracy!1!1!1!11!".
This isn't overpriced, it's just bound to become outdated fast if someone makes a fork of Atmosphere with backup loader implementation, which someone definitely will.

Atmosohere matching TXs offerings doesn't really mean TX is outdated. They'll just have the same functionality with one device/CFW favoring ease of use and the other being free.

Point being, that before today - no one expected dongle free (after install) versions of CFW on every firmware revision.
So in that sense - at least as far as public communication goes - TX leapfrogged Atmosphere.

But then:
- CFW updatepath is a concern (what do they install, when can you update OFW, how quickly will one company make CFW updates, that will be needed, and for how long? (one year...) )
- and CFW with DRM is a concern as well ("thats a first...")

I'm guessing that you just use the usb in whichever one you want to use at the time? I don't like to say this, but a flashcard/dongle/physical exploit usually explodes the communities progress even more... Just look at gateway... This is something that I will invest in. I might even buy 2 or 3. Either for just extras or for my friends. You can take your ****ery somewhere else.

I do prefer softmod over anything else. But if this thing can install coldboot then its a one time thing and then it goes in my desk for safe keeping lol

But yes - almost all stuff in here is entirely speculative - and TX will have to do a pretty ace PR job to tell people how their CFW with DRM job is, what they want.

Ok but how do you even install cfw like Astmosphere ? Do I need to mod my switch in anyway or just connect it to usb to my computer ? Cause I see the point of waiting for Atmosphere and Coldboot CFW if you can install if without any modding..

This is a brand new, first of it's kind hacking product for the Switch, and they are only charging 26USD. Seriously that's more than fair, in fact they could have pulled a Gateway or Sky3DS and charged over 100$ at launch, but they didn't
