I am trying to use KitKat to capture the screen of Pokemon USUM to play battles online while streaming on Twitch. I can't do this because I have to use a patch to keep KitKat from freezing. Is there any way around this?

I have the same problem too but with MK7 so there was a ‘Connection Stable’ patch. Seems how I am not interested in Pokémon that much, but know mechanics, I prefer to find another tool to record your screen while discord-ing. Just my though though, who cares :/ - Marcoon

Well he wants to stream on his computer then to Twitch. The only way to brodcast your 3ds to a computer is to use SnickerStream or KitKat (more stable) and NTRBoot app. So, he’ll need another patch to run with the KitKat. Like I said not into Pokémon, I only know some basics.

So the main problem is that you need to run a patch on KitKat to turn off the wifi on the 3ds so KitKat does not crash, its a weird thing only for Pokemon and other games.

It’s like 12:00 AM here right now but all I can say right now is to use Citra. I will rest for 2-3 hours and help you again.

BootNTR is not NTRBoot, please don't get them confused.

You have to go online ingame before you connect with KitKat. Don't use the patch.
Obviously if you go offline the stream will stop working again. But the patch actually disables the ingame wifi from working, and there's no way around this yet. So you have to enable the patch only when you're not playing online, and in order to disable it you have to reboot... (but it could be possible to make a revert patch that could enable online again when needed)
