PS3Xploit for Slim and Super Slim consoles leaked, do not run it or you risk a brick

There are reports of an unfinished version of PS3Xploit v3 leaking onto the internet, that is said to be compatible with all PS3 models, including PS3 Slim and Super Slim consoles. The original PS3Xploit was released last year and worked on all PHAT models as well as some Slim models. The developers suggest to stay away from the leaked exploit or it can potentially brick your console. However, it seems the official version is not far away from release and users should simply wait for it. esc0rtd3w, one of the developers, stated that in order to use the exploit, an activated PSN account is needed and he strongly suggests not to use your main account for this.

Pretty cool that there's a new exploit for the slims and super slim. Is there any CFW that allows the slims to play PS2 games? I'm really out of touch on the PS3 scene.

Yes, Cobra (used to be a dongle-requiring CFW, now it's just a "payload" CFW authors can choose to include or not) includes between its 25 features ISO loading for PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP, even on consoles without PS2 hardware (of course, compatibility will be limited since a PS3 is not powerful enough to emulate 100% a PS2)

So, get a Cobra-enabled cfw (assuming a cfw-compatible console) and read http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/PS2_Classics_Emulator_Compatibility_List

Details about PS2 mode on non-hackable models are still unclear apart from "will be possible", probably it will use the old PS2 to PKG method

Since when can the PS3 load PSP games? Are there PSN ports of some that you can inject isos into?

3.40 or something

The only official PSP releases are Minis and a limited number of enhanced games (meaning graphics and/or right analog stick)

Injection again is the old way (but possibly the only one for this future LCFW), if you have Cobra you just mount the iso and use a "PSP launcher" homebrew to start it (since the XMB isn't designed to display a "start game" icon for UMDs ;) )
