Hi.
I have a Stargate 3ds and the DS Menu won't work, no matter what i do with it.
My 3ds has custom CFW (with Godmode9) and it's on version 11.6.0-39U.
Any 3ds game works just fine, but when i change to the DS Mode, the DS Menu won't work.
Here's a video of what happens:

I followed the method on the Stargate 3ds official website (format in FAT32 mode, downloaded the DS Menu files and put it in the root of my SD card)
I have tried with two different types of SD cards, one SanDisk 8gb category 4 and one SanDisk Ultra 32gb category 10 and both of them had the same problem.

Please help :C

Try the attachment. inside will be a firmlaunch_clean.firm.
Boot that with the luma chainloader and see if you can run ds mode on stargate.

This will at least tell us if there is a conflict between luma <--> stargate
Hey! I booted the firmlaunch_clean.firm and it worked! but when i return to the 3ds main menu and try to launch the DS Menu again, the same thing happens, what should i do now?

What this tells you is your stargate cannot work properly with luma - it probably never will knowing this flashcard team.
You will have to launch firmlaunch_clean every time you want to use stargate ds.

Well, better working this way than never working in the first place!
Just out of curiosity: What happens if i choose the option "Install FIRM" instead of "Boot FIRM" on the chainloader?

There is a fair chance it would just delete B9S because, well, B9S is a FIRM

Do people still use carts for their games? Even with custom firmwares already out?
I bought it cheaply, so i wanted to try something new.

You could try to avoid that incompatibility problem installing Fastboot3DS and Rei-Six as an alternate CFW.
Is there a tutorial for that? i would like to try.

Here it is. For addin' other CFW besides Luma3DS, follow the same steps you did for Luma but in a secondary slot, in I recommend Rei-Six, is far better that CakesFW (the other CFW supported by FB3D).

Try the link that he posted and follow his instructions, i'm gonna make a video later explaining the situation and showing a workaround, then i'm going to test other custom CFW to see if its just a conflict between luma and stargate.

I found a Stargate Menu Loader as a CIA that works if you have CFW installed. called _ds_menu.cia

Yeah actually I got that from someone on this forum I'll try to link him once I find it.

It was @Apache Thunder who helped me with this issue and the one who created that file so all the credits should be going to him.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76

    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks

@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
