My WiiU Gamepad is SUPER SENSITIVE in games like Hydro Thunder compared to when I use GCN controllers. Is there a way to modify the sensitivity/deadzone for the Gamepad in Nintendont without recompiling the source? If not, what do I need to change in the source to modify the deadzone/sensitivity?

wiidrc.h doesn't seem to have any configurable options for sticks.

PADReadGC.c seems to have some hardcoded deadzone values @ lines 86-94, maybe sensitivity?? on lines 201-210. I don't really know what I'm looking at here. Thanks for the help!

no you cannot change sensitivity without recompiling it, no idea where its located tough.

Hello guys i have some questions,

I cant' run Mario Sunshine in 480p PAL anyone managed to? The comp list indicates that it's possible but there is a little "2" next to the checkmark idk what that means
(MK double dash works flawlessly)

What's the MPAL setting?

I already searched a few threads and couldn't find an answer to these questions.

Tanks for your help

Hi everyone! I don't khow what is the problem, but with the last nintendont revision used for Wii or WiiU, it don't hold setting when I make a change. If I delete the nincfg.bin, Nintendont doesn't create a new one.

make sure after you change the settings you start a game to save them if you exit no settings will be saved, also make sure your sd card is not on read only.

I can't use my Pro Controller on Nintendont anymore. For some reason, the Gamepad always works as Player 1 and the Pro Controller works as Player 2. Weird, I remember both controllers working as Player 1 last I used it.

Anyone know what to do?

well gamepad now has priority over bt controllers and hid, same way hid has priority over bt and such, this is not a bug both working over player one was a bug, if you want to use your wiiupro as player one just choose not to use the gamepad when starting the inject or simply walk out of range with the gamepad.

controllers priority is like this
wiiugamepad/original wii with gc ports(using gc controller)>hidcontrollers wired(wiiu gc adapter,ps3,etc)>BT controllers(wiiupro,CC,nunchuck,CCpro)

so wiiupro and CC are the last to get a slot.

PAL games start in PAL50 576i which wont be displayed since that mode is too different from 480p but in the background PAL games ask you if you want to switch to PAL60 480i so you can just blindly tap A in most PAL games until it switches, then you get a proper forced 480p output because PAL60 is similar enough to work with 480p.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I'll try tomorrow, but it looks like I didn't read carefully enough and 480p pal isn't compatible, I think I read somewhere that it's compatible with swissgc I'll try to do some research because the games looks pretty blurry on my lcd in 480i

Hi guys, looking to satisfy my curiosity :P

  1. Is deflicker still an option in Nintendont? Reason I ask is because to be honest I can't tell the difference... And I've tried. On or OFF, games look exactly the same to me. Only melee shows a difference and thats by toggling the in-game switch. Which brings me to my next question:
  2. Say I turn off deflicker at the loader level (assuming the option is actually doing something) what happens with the in-game toggle? (ie: melee) does it work? What I mean is, it can't "turn off more" of the deflickering. Right?
  3. Could a "crop overscan on/off" switch be added?
  4. Would it be possible for the content to determine the aspect ratio? What I mean by that is, some games have the option to display in widescreen. Can a widescreen game automatically set the ratio?

Thanks, as always.

So it's a deliberate change? I noticed it first happened after I chose "Update Nintendont" on the menu.

Is there any way I can downgrade my version? I downloaded it through Wii U USB Helper back on October. I'd much rather just have the option to switch out the controllers at leisure.

deliverante change? its the way it works normaly, it was like this since version one, controller always had priority over others, the only reason gamepad and wiiupro/ccpro shared the player 1 spot was becuase of a bug with the gamepad codding that was fixed.

but every version of nintendont since the begining has controller priority, you could never change it at leisure.

Hi, i have quite a few problems with nintendont on wiiu

1) Most of the time it dosent work. I try to load a game and it gives me an error about game header or something

2) sometimes it seems this error is related to try and change a setting, like force widescreen

3) If i dont change any setting i can load games.... except they dont save on the emulated memory card

Im up to reinstall nintendont... but what is the right way to do it on the WIIU?

Do i need to put the nintendont folder on SD:/apps/Nintendont or is it SD:/Wiiu/Apps/Nintendont?

Also, this thread gives me the most recent version on a DOL file. Shouldnt it be an ELF file? Where can i get an ELF nintendont?
- Because i have the folder SD:/Wiiu/Apps/Nintendont with loader.dol in it and the homebrew channel dosent even show it as an app

I have a forwarder installed. Does this change anything?

Should i create a config file? How do i do this?
