Is Not64 possible yet? I'd like it more just for the N64 games that can't be injected (which is a lot, surprisingly... Conker, Banjo-Tooie, Mario 64 romhacks, Glover...).

Also interested in a possible USB Loader GX with gamepad support to just work with all Wii and GC games at once (assuming said Wii games accept classic controller), but that's probably not possible yet.
not64 can be used, not with gamepad. i made a wii u usbloader gx install and posted it in the nintendont thread, if you are interested, you cant use gamepad in usbloader gx yet, but if you boot a nintendont game you can use your gamepad on that, no, wii games are not possible yet.

I dont know if this was asked already but, if there is 2 wbfs file( file.wbfs1 & file.wbfs2), should i just renamed them to game.wbfs1 & game.wbfs2?

Sumea's Mini Tutorial to PAL console brothers with Black Screening games!

So, like said earlier, some games black screen when booted on PAL Wii U through new channel forwarding to Wii menu, what gives??
THE REASON IS WII SYSTEM RELATED, AND HOW IT VERY RIGIDLY HANDLES VIDEOMODES. If game's requested videomode is not answered to by the system, say NTSC game requesting NTSC mode from PAL console, they black screen. Some NTSC games actually are PAL compatible (probably programmed in different manner or thought to be ported to worldwide release very quickly; Many nintendo games for one) - So this adds to confusion a little, when some NTSC games work just fine but others don't so it can't be a region thing, right?

Anyway: The answer is indeed videomodes, and making the game compatible with PAL console if you are PAL, and in some cases making a game NTSC compatible from PAL - This is possible for some PAL only localizations americans might want to play. For this we are finding "Some old shite". I got few tips from few old cougars and ended up finding wii VMC 2.2 (wii-vmc_2.2.zip) - You want to get 2.3 but you are a manly woman if you actually find that (I didn't)

Other tool you need is WiiBaFu (Wii Backup Fusion) 1.1.

After you have both tools, and your images in one place, use Wii backup fusion to open your image files folder. Choose the game you want to get working, right click on it and extract image. Destination should be something you can easily navigate to.

After extraction is complete, usually not that long of a process, navigate to your extracted game destination. Open the extracted game folder, and then it's "sys" folder. Easiest way to use Wii VMC is to have it's application on another folder, and dragging main.dol file of your game from the sys folder, on Wii VMC, booting the app to manipulate that file right away. I personally used Wii VMC's "Smart patching" and "NTSC to PAL" - this was quickly done. after that I used WiiBaFu to navigate to the extracted games directory, right clicking on the extracted game, and choosing "Transfer to Image" - I personally used WBFS for the luls but you can go with ISO too, I am sure.

After this pack the repacked image file with this script or whatever your heart yonders, and you should have a functional NTSC game on your PAL system, or Vice Versa.

P.S. There might be better tools for forcing the video mode change; I just have no idea about them. It seems smart patching is somewhat smart, defaulting to PAL60 as it feels to me (I am bad at seeing the difference of good 50fps and 60fps) - and there was no timing issues for me with Project Zero/Fatal Frame IV.

Until this maybe can be implemented into the script or something; doing it manlually to your Out of Region games is the way to fix problematic cases. I heard this is widely complained about issue so I hope this helps some of you out there.

This is great.

Is there anyway to have the pro controller register as player 1 by default? If I boot a gamecube game with gamepad support it will default to player 2. I could boot without the gamepad but it requires a wiimote to start.
Yes just click no in the screen that ask about using the gamepad then just select tv or tv and gamepad with the wii remote and finally when the game boots up just use the pro controller

Great find Sumea, this surely explains and solves the black screen issue with my injects! The games I had issues with are mainly USA games, but when I got a copy of the EUR/PAL version of the same game, the inject works, regardless if the base rom is USA or EUR/PAL. So I knew it's something to do with vWii side with either region or video mode of the game, but never investigated like you have.

Now the question is, will USA region consoles have issues with injects? Specially for those that are doing Wii VC inject requests?

It is changing the video mode between NTSC and PAL, so possibly, there possibly needs to be a separate PAL fix and normal NTSC version of a inject like this.

The two files are named as .wbfs1 and .wbfs2, I have the files right now. I just want to know if it will work since the script's instruction is only for 1 file.
Whoever you downloaded them from didn't name them right. You can try renaming them to wbfs and wbf1 which is the correct naming convention for the WBFS format, otherwise you may consider re-downloading from another source.

I've injected PAL exclusive Wii games: Disaster Day of Crisis and Another Code R, in my US Wii U and haven't seen any problem; well almost, Another Code R doesn't like WIT trimming, but that's another problem unrelated to the region.

So probably it's just NTSC to PAL issue.

BTW thank you for the injects

Ok, I think I just play it by ear and inject a separate one if there is any issues on USA consoles.

Great, thanks for the info.

i remember some Aussie games and pal games that showed as black and white on wii or garbbled rotating (bottom to top) screen ... im sure if you look hard enough youll find some pal games that screw up ntsc video modes on wiivc injection too

Ok I just want to make a Nintendont Forwarder channel with no games because I want to boot the games on SD or USB. How to use the script to do that?

I working on a Not64 port to use with gamepad... no luck yet, but I hope can figure out soon.

Probably, I just tested the PAL exclusives I own, damn NoA not localizing Disaster, Another Code R and Project Zero 2 remake >:c (was pretty expensive to me bring those games)

Has someone tried to force 4:3 in Wii games? There are a couple that are not true widescreen and look stretched... @KhaderWelaye
I know what you mean, WarioWare: Smooth Moves looks terrible stretched from 4:3 to Widescreen.

When I used USB Loader forwarder channels from the vWii menu, I was able to do this by adjusting the Title ID, as the vWii will use the TitleID to autoforce Virtual Console games to 4:3. I haven't found a way to do the same thing with injections yet, but I will keep you posted.

Most TVs allow you to force 4:3, it's not ideal because it's not automatic but at least a workaround exists.
